Cabin is located 13 km / 8 mi from town Dalvík, on the border of two valleys Svarfaðaldalur and Skíðadalur. There're many hiking trails in the area, some only few minutes of drive from the cabin as well as waterfalls, mountain glacier or lakes in neighbouring valleys. In town Dalvík, you can do grocery shopping, go whale watching or visit caffés and museums. There's an easy drive all the way below the cabin's driveway. The last 150m hill to the cabin is a steep gravel road. If you have 2 wheel drive I would not recommend driving up with fully loaded car. There is also an option of parking below the hill. Host will gladly help you drive you up with your luggage if you decide to park below the hill.
