Description

The apartment in the converted barn of an old rectory is close to Trier, Bitburg, Echternach (Lu) and close to the South Eifel Nature Park or Luxembourg Switzerland. In a spacious, bright and three-level apartment there is plenty of living in a spacious apartment. There are beautiful views of the countryside and great sunsets to enjoy. The place for couples, business travelers, and families with kids. The space To the cottage are the former farm rooms of the barn, so the stable and the Tenne are converted: Entrance is on the ground floor with wardrobe area and a "garden toilet". On the 1st floor there is a kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room. The sofa can be used as a bed. Under the roof are the other sleeping places: a double bed in the open studio. Futon and single bed in the locked bedroom. Crib and extra mattresses can be made available. The rectory was built in 1852 and is located in the middle of a listed garden. The building was built by Pfarrer Faulhauer, who provided himself with horticulture and cattle in addition to the parish service. If you are more interested in the history of the house and the village of Eisenach, you can learn about the history of the village, Celtic finds and traditional crafts in a private museum. At the beginning of the new millennium, we were able to buy the rectory, renovate and remodel it from time to time, inside or out. The garden is characterized by the impressive old boxwood hedges. In the front area, the roundabouts blend into the narrow area along the path to the church. In the back garden area, there is a picture of a kettle. Neighbors say that the walnut trees were already really big on their childhood. Still interesting that there were excavations about 200m behind our garden wall, where a Celtic grave field was found! Our garden embodies the typical interaction of ornamental and utility garden. We no longer run a traditional utility garden, but we strive for a variety of plant arrangements. There are many seating areas in the garden that are welcome to be used by the guest: welcome! Guest access The garden is open to travelers. BBQ and garden furniture can also be used. Ball games are available in the garden. Upon request, guests can use the washing machine. Other things to note The house is in the middle of the village and yet quiet. The holiday apartment has its own entrance. Village life means that at certain times there is and may give agricultural traffic, animals and sounds of chainsaws, lawn mowers, etc. In Eisenach, there is a pub, a hairdresser, and several active farms. On Friday, a butcher sells his butchers in the village. In the village, a farmer offers fresh eggs. There is a small museum in the village with waffle iron and one to the village history from the Celtic period so far. The museums are privacy. They can be visited on request. At night you have an unadulterated view to the stars in clear weather!
