The Little Erie Shore House near Point Pelee

This super adorable, newly renovated cottage has panoramic water views! Soak in the gorgeous sunrise over Lake Erie (back) and the peaceful sunset over the canal (front). We are located in Marentette Beach, a private lakeside community next door to Point Pelee National Park and minutes to award winning wineries, golf, beaches, hiking, biking, fishing and restaurants. The perfect getaway for nature lovers and those looking to relax! The space This bright and airy lakehouse can accommodate up to 8 people and includes 3 bedrooms (king, double, double over double + twin trundle), 1 full bathroom, open concept kitchen, dining and living room, a sunroom and a wash/dryer, all on one level. We have strong wifi (free), a large smartTV, an antenna and Netflix. Guests are welcome to use our kayaks. Our backyard has a deck and patio for grilling and eating as well as enjoying the stunning views of Lake Erie. We also have a lawn area which is ideal for children and dogs (but please note it is not fenced, aside from a small dog area, and will require adult supervision). End your day with a glass of wine overlooking the lake and marshmallows toasted over the fire pit. Unwind and enjoy lake life at the Little Erie Shore House! We are directly on the water so there will be some wildlife/bug presence. We make every effort to manage it but nature can be unpredictable. Guest access Exclusive use of the entire property. Entry is by smart lock with unique code. Other things to note Indoor smoking is not permitted; Our driveway can accommodate up to 4 vehicles; One set of bed linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Please do not use supplies in the storage room as they are for future guests; The canal is perfect for boating and fishing but we do not recommend swimming on this side (there may be runoff from the surrounding farms as well as lots of fish, turtles and snakes). Please do not climb the breakwall rocks out back of the property. We recommend swimming at nearby Point Pelee beaches. There are community garbage and recycling bins at the entrance to the private road. Please take all garage with you at check out and dispose of in these bins; The speed limit on the private road is 20 km/hr, vehicles entering the private road have the right of way; Two medium adult life jackets are provided for boating but we encourage you to bring your own; You must secure your own fishing permit if you are planning on fishing. There is no boat launch on the property but boats can be launched nearby in both Wheatly and Leamington. Bring your own firewood (available for purchase nearby at Freddy’s) Please only use “HE” detergent in the washing machine; We have lots of trees and birds. To keep the outdoor furnishings as clean as possible, please keep the BBQ cover on when not in use and keep the folding patio chairs in the shed. Please use the brush provided to clean the grills after using the BBQ. There is an extra propane tank in the shed. At times there can be many bugs. Bring bug spray for outdoor use. To minimize bugs indoors, please keep the windows closed as much as possible. The water heater is electrical and in the event of any power disturbance will need to be reset.
