Stunning Cotswold Manor House set in its own grounds in beautiful National Trust Village on the River Thames offering wild swimming in the Weir Pool, Boating, Fishing or borrow a paddleboard or bicycle from us. Walks abound and dog friendly. Relax in the Drawing Room with a fire , or BBQ/Games in the garden, get togethers to celebrate family /friends milestone events making treasured life time memories whether formal dining or just simple quality time The space Drive through the picturesque Cotswolds village of Buscot towards the River Thames and you will spot the beautiful Buscot Manor on your left hand side. Approached through double gates with the large lawn beside you perfect for BBQs , games and family time with a fire pit . Our hot tub is available by arrangement with it's own seating and private area. We are able to offer bespoke workshops, crafts and activities not to mention wellness retreats tailored to your specific requirements. On the National Trust Estate which we are part of there is the Heritage & Rural Skills Centre who also have a range of courses available so lots of choice with the bonus of staying at Buscot Manor. ,To the rear of the Manor is the private walled garden where you can enjoy an al fresco breakfast in the morning sun or perhaps afternoon tea. The Manor has been sympathetically restored, renovated and redesigned by a renowned interior designer to the stars Dolly aka 'Dolly Daydream Designs' full of beautiful touches, objects and furniture that elevate the space which should you wish you can purchase to take home ! Please note that furnishings may change due to this. Entering the house into the magnificent Entrance Hall with chandelier you can see straight through to the private walled garden surrounded by natural blossom, lavender paths and nature. To your left is the Snug/Playroom/Office with wood burning stove continue through to the large farmhouse Kitchen/Breakfast Room with AGA and table perfect for precious family/friends get togethers or take out via the back door to the lawn. Opposite is the elegant spacious Drawing Room with an open fire and original shutters on the leaded windows for winter or cool summer nights - the perfect space to relax in peace and quiet. Across the Hall, the Dining Room draws you in with a large oak table for 12 guests or more informally. Rich with history, the walls have witnessed some amazingly long lunches and suppers. Alternatively sit back in one of the wonderfully large Sofas in the Garden Room to read the Newspaper, a book or a family game or two or perhaps a film ! Up the grand staircase, you will find the first of three large bedrooms with views over the Gardens, each with huge four poster beds , seating areas around a fireplace and each having its own luxurious roll-top bathroom. Each room also has an additional full size single bed. Travel cot by arrangement. Heading up past the little reading nook full of books for all ages and tastes you will find three further french inspired bedrooms with large individual Louis XV style beds and an additional full size single bed with plenty of space to pause for a moment and gather your thoughts on a chaise longue. As you would expect, two more elegant roll-top bathrooms as standard! We can also provide cots/high chairs. The Manor has cosseting Egyptian Cotton bed linen completing the line up to give the legendary, Buscot Sleep Experience. Nothing but bird song and natural light will wake you up... unless of course you've brought the children and dog! Within minutes of leaving the Manor you can be beside the beautiful natural weir pool of Buscot for wild swimming or paddling with the soothing River Thames meandering its way eventually to London via the Dreaming Spires of Oxford. Of course, you can walk to both Lechlade and Kelmscott or to Buscot Park or Kelmscott Manor, or drive to the Cotswolds villages of Cirencester, Cheltenham, Stratford or Bath. Perhaps a visit to Daylesford Organics, Blenheim Palace or Highgrove the home of the King of England. We can arrange boat hire from the end of our lane or you can borrow a paddleboard so you can take a trip along the River...making memories to cherish for a lifetime. We welcome all ages and you are welcome to bring well behaved pets including horses/ponies too (by arrangement) ! Nothing is too much trouble: with a little bit of notice, we can organise (almost) anything to make your stay even more enjoyable from food deliveries to nannies to horse riding to butlers in the buff, private chefs and cocktail makers. Our listing says we sleep 15 but we can accommodate by prior agreement 20 depending on whether children/adults ! There is also the possibility of a ground floor suite 'Manor Garden Lodge' with it's own entrance to hallway, fully equipped kitchenette, shower room and bedroom - useful for elderly/disabled or staff. If you have to work from home we have Ultra fast Fibre Broadband and a large work area in the snug. We are grateful and indebted to the help of Oxfordshire County Council Rural Enterprise Prosperity fund for the contributions and investment for our Bikes/E Bikes/Paddleboards to allow us to diversify our offer to increase and improve our services for our guests. Our workshops/bikes and paddleboards would not have been possible without it. This project is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Vale of White Horse District Council as the lead authority. We are proud to be doing our bit by lowering our carbon footprint through monitoring/control of our energy usage contributing to the Vale Corporate Plan to ensure efficient energy usage whilst promoting active travel through the use of E Bikes/Bikes and EV chargers. Guest access You will have use of all the spaces described. There is ample parking on site. We have Three Four Poster/Three French Bedrooms all have additional full size single pull out beds so can sleep an additional adult/child by arrangement and travel cots are also available on request. We have two knowle sofas with drop down arms for teenagers in the green room but these aren't included in our total number of guests and children under 2 aren't counted in the total number of guests which is set at 15 so if you do require extras please let us know as mentioned we can by prior notice accommodate 20 The owner retains a separate annexe with its own entrance and dedicated parking and will not have any access to the main Manor during your stay unless there is an emergency! Other things to note Subject to prior arrangement, guests can bring their pets. We are also able to cater for DIY horse/pony livery and have space for horse boxes/lorries too by prior agreement. We have set quiet hours between 10pm and 9am. We would ask our guests to be respectful of noise just as they would at home. The barn is located in a tranquil, rural area with permanent neighbours, a working farmyard and an adjacent holiday let barn in close proximity. We politely request that guests be considerate to these neighbours. With this in mind, the barns are not suitable for loud parties and some house rules have been set up as guidance. Please note that from September 2024, the shared courtyard, trampoline, and games room will no longer be available. House Rules Hot Tub is unavailable for use after 9.30pm Please do not gather outside after 10pm and ensure that any music is not audible outside the property after 11pm (i.e. if dining outside please move inside and shut the doors) To stay on top of this without being intrusive a noise monitoring system is installed inside the Manor and a motion detection system is active on the hot tub after 9.30pm These systems raise alerts, initially to the Lead Booker and then to a Responder. If a Responder attends the property a charge will be levied, and guests may be asked to leave
