Hillocks Cottage is a spacious 300 year old stone built cottage with exposed beams, situated in the heart of the village and a couple of minutes walk from the local pub – the Red Lion – which has a reputation for good food. Kniveton is a pretty and ancient village which lies on the road between Ashbourne and Wirksworth. Three miles away is Ashbourne, lying at the southern end of the Peak District, which is a perfect example of an English market town The space Hillocks Cottage has recently undergone a sympathetic renovation, which has enabled it to retain much of its original charm and character and includes: - Cosy sitting room with log burning stove, Colour TV with Freeview, DVD & Stereo CD/Radio - 3 bedrooms - 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom with a loft bed (upper part of full size bunk bed), to sleep 5 - Large family bathroom upstairs with electric shower over bath - Fully fitted Kitchen / Diner including a dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge / freezer and washer / dryer - Downstairs cloakroom with additional WC & Basin - Oil Central heating, all fuel and power - Bed linen and towels - Free Wifi available - Cot and highchair available on request - Well behaved pets welcome at no extra charge - Enclosed decked garden with furniture to the side of the property - Parking on the street opposite the cottage - A welcome pack including a pint of milk, some tea & coffee for that important cuppa when you arrive! Guest access Whole Cottage Other things to note There is no off road parking, but parking is generally easy to find on the road opposite the property. Due to the current COVID situation some guide books and leaflets have been removed from the cottage for your safety. Check in is by key lock and all necessary information will be sent out with arrival details. The safety and well-being of all my guests is my priority. The cottage is professionally cleaned and disinfected in line with all government policies so that you can relax and just enjoy your holiday.
