Serene Cabin in the Redwoods

Come enjoy a relaxing stay at our serene cabin in the redwoods. Located in the idyllic hamlet of sunny Fieldbrook, just 10 minutes to Mckinleyville and the airport, 15 minutes to downtown Arcata and Humboldt State University, 15 minutes to the seaside town of Trinidad, 20 minutes to Eureka and 45 minutes north or south will take you to Redwood National and State Parks where you can experience the magic and wonder of the ancient redwood forests. The space The Serene Cabin in the Redwoods is located on 5 acres of sunny orchards and redwood forest. Enjoy the expansive view of our next door neighbors 20 acres of pasture as you come down the driveway to the parking area. Many beautiful wild animals can be seen here from elk, coyote, wild turkey, bobcat, hawks and more depending on the season. Take a short trail right from the cabin to Lindsey Creek, a year round creek. There you will find a small beach. You may even see the salmon running. Enjoy watching the many species of birds fluttering from tree to tree from the glider on your own private deck. Enjoy breakfast on a second deck right next to the cabin. We try to provide you with all of the amenities you could possibly need to make your stay as carefree as possible. We always strive to use organic and environmentally friendly products. If we have missed something don’t hesitate to ask for whatever you need. The cabin and all of the appliances are relatively new so you can expect a very clean and comfortable stay. The cabin has a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare elaborate multi course meals if desired. Farm fresh eggs (laid by our very own hens when available), fresh produce (in season) from our garden and other breakfast essentials will be provided, as well as organic fair trade coffee and black, green and herbal tea. Although we provide a flat screen tv, premium cable channels, dvd player and internet (which is not great due to limited options out here in the country) we encourage you to unplug and revel in the serenity that surrounds the cabin. The space is for two people as it is a one bedroom with a double bed. Guest access We welcome you to enjoy and explore the orchard, creek and forest surrounding the cabin. Also there is a second deck next to the cabin for our guests. It is a nice outdoor space to have breakfast or a cup of tea. There is a basketball half court behind the cabin that is available to use if you are interested. Just ask us for use of a ball. Other things to note Stacey, the co host is an experienced acupuncturist and can provide on site acupuncture sessions for an additional fee.
