Whether you surf, write, rest, bird watch or simply want to explore different destinations in Guanacaste, come and enjoy this beautiful wooden house in an ecological community in Paradise (literally! the town's name is Paraiso :) Please note there is a cat that lives in the property Guest access This is a two story building. Guests will enjoy sole access to the whole house upstairs. It has two bedrooms, one with king, one with double bed. There is a sofa bed available for additional guests booked. There is also a hammock. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook with gas stove as well as a toaster oven, blender, juicer, rice cooker, slow cooker and coffee maker. Solar hot water throughout the house. Cotton bedding and towelling. Downstairs there is a laundry and bbq area available to guests and shared with my other listing. There is also a storage room closed to guests. Other things to note This region in Guanacaste is very special for a number of reasons. First of all, Junquillal beach (nearest to the house) has Turtles that nest parts of the year. There is an NGO running protection projects for turtles there. Also, there are other NGOs working in reforestation and other environmental and social projects. Tourism in the immediate locality is relatively low, although nearby Tamarindo (35km away by an excellent paved road) is buzzing with tourists, hospitality services and commerce. Also nearby (4km away) is Playa Negra, a laidback surfing town popular for its surfing competitions. Avellanas is also a nice beach 7 km away that has quite a few restaurant options and great surfing. There are many other destinations about an hour or two drive from the house, including volcanoes, caves, rivers, beaches, rural communities, volunteering options and much more.
