The space The apartment, as part of the Barock-Landhof Burkhardt**** is located in the centre of Spitz, a small town in the Wachau region - an area recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its architectural and agricultural history. The estate has a rich history and represents an authentic piece of Wachau culture which extends back to the 12th century. During the 16th century, the estate served as both a winery and stately home, and it was during this period that it was re-modeled in the Baroque style. During seven generations of family ownership, the estate has been converted into a boutique hotel and tastefully renovated with modern facilities whilst maintaining its original style, history and family atmosphere. The hotel's fruit orchard, together with a sunbathing area with panoramic views, allows you to rediscover a sense of inner harmony and peace on the shores of the Danube. The hotel is an ideal starting point for the 180-km-long World Heritage Trail with stunning views, the popular Danube Cycle Trail or for fascinating excursions to the many attractions and several golf courses surrounded by beautiful countryside.
