10 East Gerinish Short-term Let licence no. ES00384F Built around 1850, the house has been in Frank’s family since. It sits above a rocky bay on Loch Shielavaig with views of Hecla and Skye. Ideal for anyone with a love of peace, quiet and the outdoors; walking, fishing (licences can be obtained locally), bird watching, wildlife or just relaxing. Horse riding on Benbecula, canoeing and other water sports are available on North Uist. We love it and hope you do too. Please see important notes The space The house is comfortable and cosy, even on wild days. The kitchen and living room each have a wood burning stove. We ask that you replace logs that you use so that other guests can enjoy a fire too. We have electric radiators in each room and an immersion heater (on a timer) for hot water. We have recently installed Starlink to give excellent wi fi and tv. In the living room there is a 43 inch smart TV, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs and board games. The dining kitchen has a washing machine, tumble drier, electric cooker, microwave, air fryer, slow cooker and everything we think you will need for your stay. The bathroom downstairs has a bath and electric shower, an electric radiator and an electric towel rail. Bed linen and towels are supplied. There is tea, coffee and sugar so that you can have a cuppa on arrival. There is a fire pit and a picnic table in the garden. Guest access Guests will have access to all of the cottage and surrounding garden. Other things to note We recently had Starlink installed. This gives us excellent wi fi, mobile telephone reception and tv signal. Also, a mobile mast has been erected a few miles away. The telephone in the kitchen has been disconnected as it’s no longer necessary. Reasonable use is of wi fi is free. There is a stove guard in the living room. A travel cot, mattress and blankets in the upstairs cupboard. Also a high chair and changing mat. The bedrooms have been converted from loft space. We have provided two stair gates to ensure the safety of young children. Unfortunately, the stair may not suit those with restricted mobility. Please note: Short-term Let licence no.
