Description
This room is perfect for families or a group of 4. With view over Reynisfjara, the black beach, and Dyrhólaey with a beautiful old lighthouse. It is in the oldest part of the house, warm and cosy. Kitchen is shared with other guests and the bathroom is located in the hallway but it is private The space Prestshús 2 is a farm, located within 1 km. from Reynisfjara Black beach and has a beautiful view over Dyrhólaey and Mýrdalsjökull. We have a small farm with 40 sheep, 3 dogs, 3 cats and 10 horses. Our house is rather big and we live in one part and the guesthouse is in the older part. Our main goal in refurnishing the house is to keep its original charm, warm and welcome and also to make the rooms simple and accessible. Our family room is the first one of four to open for bookings. We have been greeting guests since august 2019 and it is the best job ever. Guests share kitchen and dining area but bathroom is private although it is located in the hallway. We have free Wifi and parking. Guests are also welcome to visit our farm animals, our dogs and our cats. From October until end of May, guests are welcome to join us when we feed the animals in the barn. Normal feeding hours are around 20:00. Guest access Guests will have access to the guesthouse kitchen and bathrooms. The outside garden and the farm area. During your stay We are a family of 4, Einar and Ragga and our 2 daughters both over 20. We live in the house and running the guesthouse and Lundur in Vík is our main job. Therefor we are available 24/7 Other things to note We have 3 wonderful dogs and if guests are not used to meet or communicate with dogs we would like to know so we can make arrangements and keep them away. Border Collie called Mía, Golden Retriever called Bjartur and a yellow Labrador called Pjakkur. They are all around 5 years old and they love to meet people.
