Cosy character cottage in heart of Pickering

31 Eastgate is a cosy and well equipped cottage in a fantastic central location in the market town of Pickering. It's ideally located for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors, steam railway, the coast and the historic walled city of York. Located on one of the main roads in Pickering (sometimes there will be traffic noise) the tree lined street of Eastgate is beautiful in all seasons and the town centre is a 5 minute walk away. Visit one of the fantastic pubs or catch a steam train to Whitby. The space The grade II listed cottage built in the 1800s has been fully renovated but retains many features, such as the stone fireplace with new wood burning stove fitted December 2022 and stone flagged floor in the living room with beamed ceiling, making it a cosy and characterful cottage to have a fab holiday in. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs each with a double bed. Please note that the bathroom is downstairs and there is no washing machine. There is a courtyard garden outside that is private and enclosed, with a BBQ and table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy warm evenings. Please note that there is a small gap at the bottom of the gate which small dogs could get under. Ample on street parking available on the main road. THE COTTAGE IS CENTRALLY LOCATED IN A POPULAR HOLIDAY LET AREA, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANY ROAD NOISE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THE COTTAGE Guest access You will have the entire cottage to yourselves. There is ample free on street parking, however there is a good car park just a 2 minute walk away from the cottage. It charges around £6 for 24 hours so if you prefer you can park here. There is no electric charging for electric vehicles at the cottage and it is not permitted, but there are chargers in the local car parks if needed. Other things to note Smart TV at the cottage. A basket of logs with kindling is supplied for the wood burner during winter months (not June to August when it is warmer, but they can be purchased locally if needed). Charging of EV’s (electric vehicles) is not permitted at the cottage. THE COTTAGE IS CENTRALLY LOCATED ON THE MAIN ROAD IN PICKERING IN AN AREA WITH OTHER HOLIDAY COTTAGES.
