Villa Mito dell'Alcantara

Villa Mito occupies the ground floor of an old mid-nineteenth century farmhouse located in the "Parco fluviale dell’Alcantara" nature reserve. The house is part of a beautiful estate of 10 acres full of rose bushes, fruit and pine trees and borders the Alcantara river, the lifeline of the whole valley. Milleduci is surrounded by luscious, well kept gardens with a swimming pool and chickens, great fun for kids. Walks into nature start at your door step. The space Villa Mito used to function as the main kitchen of the family, and has the stone owen which you see in the old houses around Sicily. Full of traditional charm, the appartement has been renovated, with a spacious bathroom (with shower), double bedroom , one with a pellet stove , a fully equiped kitchen with washing machine. The interior is an eclectic mix of old and new design. You have your own spacious on the same floor equipped with table, chairs, deck chairs and umbrella, for lovely breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Fresh ingredients from the estate, accompanied with recipes for traditional local dishes are available from us. Or enjoy the sunset with a good glass of local wine! On the estate are three other appartments, situated in the other farmhouse buildings. Thanks to convenient private entrances, it is possible to take a bath in the river Alcantara that runs along the entire property, sunbathe on it’s banks, or practise river trekking. Up the river is the famous Alcantara Gorge, a popular destination for locals and tourists. The surrounding nature reserve enables you to take walks and bike rides starting at your front door.
