Thatched Grade ll property in Ashford Hill
Thatched Grade ll property in Ashford Hill
Description
A detached, Grade ll, 200 year old thatched cottage in the small village of Ashford Hill, close to Newbury. My husband Andy and I own this one bedroom cottage, which has been carefully furnished and has parking and a small dedicated outdoor space.. It is an ideal base to explore the local area. Guests can visit Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), attend the races at Newbury Race Course or enjoy the walks in the surrounding area including Watership Down. The space This quaint cottage has a separate kitchenette, shower room and bedroom off the main living area (with TV) where you can relax with a good book, enjoy a good film or eat your meal. As the cottage is old it does have low ceilings and beams with anyone over 6ft 2 inches having to duck between the beams in the living room. Although it is historic, we do have fast Wi-Fi. The kitchen area contains a kettle and Nespresso machine for hot drinks, an undercounter fridge with small freezer compartment, a microwave and a 2 ring hob. There are pots, pans and cooking utensils. The hob and oven are stored on shelves under the counter and need to be lifted out for use. We can help with this if needed.
