Tugela River Lodge: River House

Tugela River Lodge is a pet friendly, self-catering Eco-Lodge, located on a private cattle and game farm on the banks of the Tugela River, near Winterton, KZN, South Africa. We run off solar and gas and invite guest to come and enjoy the quiet side of nature. Our lodge has access to many miles of trails for hiking, biking and running through our private game farm where one can get up close and personal with our resident giraffe. The sounds of the river are sure to put you to sleep at night! The space The River House is a 4 sleeper unit with a king bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs (can be changed into a double on request). The downstairs bedroom has an open plan en-suit bathroom and opens up to the verandah outside where there is a braai (bbq) area. There is also another shower and toilet downstairs. The kitchen area is also open plan with a spacious lounge and an amazing view of the Tugela river. The upstairs bedroom also has an elevated view of the river.our only unit at the lodge with WiFi. Other things to note As we run off batteries you must not use the following items, or items similar to these: Portable coffee machines (Nespresso etc) Hairdryers Electric blankets Portable air conditioners Heaters Portable microwaves or stoves plates Car battery fridges or portable fridges Your own inverters or battery chargers If you plug these items into the system you run the risk of damaging our batteries, which are very expensive.
