The "Fish House": Salt Water Cove Carriage House

The Fish House is a separate building adjacent to our home on 3 1/2 private acres in a peaceful, private HOA neighborhood, with paved road and cable utilities. Wildlife abounds with foxes, osprey, great blue herons, bald eagles and seals. We have several gardens with flowering plants, blueberries, vegetables and herbs that we share with guests throughout the growing season. We're an hour and a half north of Portland and within a half hour of the best restaurants in the midcoast area! The space The Fish House, c. 2009, is an architect-designed carriage house. The open concept living area features a comfortable couch, lounge chairs and dining table as well as an eat-at counter, office space, cable TV and amazing views! In the bedroom are high-end furnishings, queens-size bed and a double closet. With a complete kitchen and full bathroom with Kohler fixtures, you'll have all the comforts of home. We are here year-round and welcome guests during the three best seasons. The building is well-insulated with baseboard heating and a gas-fired stove for ambience, as well as air conditioning (window unit -that's never been needed!) The views from every window are spectacular and include Hornbarn Cove and Muscongus Bay with the ocean beyond. Our guests say that the photos don't do the views justice! Guest access The entire Fish House and our 3 1/2 acre property are available to our guests. You will have your your own private garden area with picnic table and patio as well as adirondack chairs at the water's edge. Our heated, outdoor shower is available and folks are also welcome to use our homeowners association deep water and kayak docks, as well as two tennis courts. Other things to note There are numerous indoor and outdoor activities and sightseeing attractions in the Cushing/Rockland/Camden area. We provide a list of our favorite restaurants as well as day trip excursions for wildlife viewing in the Damariscotta/Boothbay area. Acadia National Park can be a day-trip adventure with reservations needed in advance.
