Cottage in Chelmorton

Rose Cottage has been sympathetically restored to create a cosy and secluded cottage, in the pretty village of Chelmorton, with fabulous outdoor space. Located between Buxton and Bakewell and with a fantastic village pub within walking distance, this is a great countryside bolthole from which to explore the Peak District. Perfect for couples or families with small children, dog friendly and cycle friendly. We can accept 2 dogs and a fee of £30.00 per dog is payable. The space The space A cosy cottage nestled in a secluded village position, this stylish and thoughtfully designed holiday cottage is perfect for a romantic hideaway or peaceful family retreat. Set in fabulous surrounding countryside providing lots of lovely walks and cycle routes from the doorstep. Bring your bikes and walking boots for great access to the High Peak Trail and The Derbyshire section of the Midshires Way. After your day out exploring, relax on the plush sofas by the log burner or perhaps walk up to the village pub to sample some local ales and great food. Rose Cottage has the following home comforts: - A Super King size double bed, in the master bedroom. - A separate bunk bed room (suitable for children only). - A cosy living space with a plush sofa and cushions and a roaring log burner, SMART TV (with Netflix Amazon Prime etc.) DVD player with a selection of DVD's (please bring your own if you wish). - A modern kitchen/diner that is fully equipped with sink, electric oven, hob, under counter fridge freezer, a further freestanding larder fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, microwave and toaster. - Dining table with ample seating for 4. - Lots of crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and baking trays. - A ground floor shower room, with WC, washbasin and walk-in shower. - Washing machine and tumble dryer - Outhouse for storing up to four bicycles and all your outdoor gear. - Outdoor Patio area in the rear garden with table and chairs under a pergola. BBQ available from April to October. - Free parking on the driveway with ample space for two cars. - Secure gardens (when the driveway gate is closed). Rose Cottage is dog friendly and we can comfortably accept 1 dog here. There is an additional £30 charge PER DOG. Additional dogs may be accepted at the discretion of the cottage owner and will be charged at £30 per dog for the duration of your stay. Please contact us if you wish to bring more than 1 dog. Don't forget to bring your bicycles. Take advantage of our free on-site bike storage. Guest access Guest access Exclusive access to the entire cottage, including the driveway, the front and rear gardens and the outhouse to the side of the cottage. There is a further garage in the garden which is locked and not available for guests to use. Rose Cottage is which is nestled in a quiet Peak District village and is set back from the main street which runs up the village. To visit many of the Peak District and Derbyshire's attractions we recommend driving as public transport is limited in this rural part of the Peak District. Public buses do run to/from the village but can be intermittent. An hourly 'TransPeak' bus runs from the end of the village (5-7 minute walk to the bus stop from the cottage) which calls at Buxton, Bakewell and other villages and towns along the Manchester-Derby route. The location of the property is really easy to find. We provide full directions in your trip section. We also recommend using the what3words app to find the front gate and full details of this are provided after you have booked. Other things to note Other things to note Due to the character and age of the cottage, please note the stairs are steep and uneven so may be unsuitable for the less agile or toddlers. The main bed can be set up as a twin, please just let us know if you require a twin set up. Due to the size and weight restrictions, the bunk beds are strictly for children only. There is a double sofa bed available in the living area for 2 people to allow flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Please let us know if you would like to use this. Maximum occupancy is strictly 4 people. Noise Policy - due to the quiet village location, late night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10pm. Neighbours are in close proximity - not suitable for rowdy groups due to the quiet residential area. Mobile reception - as this is a lovely rural location mobile reception can be limited depending on your network. WiFi – we provide free WiFi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent WiFi signal that is beyond our control, we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee WiFi if there are technical issues out of our control. Strictly NO fireworks or Chinese Lanterns due to village location Note that the fireplace in the bedroom is for decoration only and not in use. Please let us know how you would like your bed made up in the master bedroom (Double or twin). If we do not receive any bedroom requests all beds will automatically be set up as doubles where applicable. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with late requests, especially upon check-in. If the booking is made within a 7 day period of your arrival date, all beds will automatically be set up as doubles. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided, there is a mattress with the travel cot For reasons of both safety and property insurance, under no circumstances should you use the domestic plug sockets in the property to charge an electric vehicle. Our domestic supply in the property does not have the capacity or set-up to support EV charging. Please go to Morrisons supermarket in Buxton (10 minute drive) to access their charging stations.
