English country cottage on village green

Set at the top of the village green with views of Sheriff Hutton Castle, our cottage is a luxurious rural retreat, furnished by an interior designer. The village has historic Richard III connections, and is ideally situated to explore York, Castle Howard, the North York Moors or the Yorkshire coast. There is a shop/Post Office, and walking routes right outside the door. There are two pubs, The Castle at the foot of the Green, and The Highwayman, which serves good pub grub. The space The cottage has been decorated with personality and has everything you need for an unforgettable trip to North Yorkshire. On the ground floor you'll find a cosy sitting room as well as an open-plan kitchen dining room, both with squashy sofas and log burning stoves. Also downstairs, there is a kitchen, downstairs loo and sunny conservatory. Upstairs, the cottage has two double bedrooms and one single. Both double bedrooms have super king sized beds, one of which can be split into two singles. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. The recently bathroom has both a bath and a tiled shower cubicle with large fixed head and separate handset. Outside, the conservatory opens up into a small, walled garden. There is dedicated parking for guests, and safe storage for bikes. From the first floor, guests can admire the view across the Vale of York towards The Dales, or watch the world go past on the village green. Guest access The cottage is for the sole use of guests during their stay. Other things to note We love dogs! The cottage has been furnished with your canine companions in mind, with hard floors downstairs, an outside hose for muddy paws and of course those welcoming log burners! We just ask that pooch access is to the ground floor only (and provide a stair gate to help with this), and don't sit on the furniture. If you let us know you're bringing a four-pawed family member, we will make sure there's a treat ready for them to welcome them on their holiday.
