Garden Room, Honeymoon Cottage, Dodford

Honeymoon Cottage is a beautiful stone built property, situated by the stream. Dodford is a small, sleepy village with a lovely open ford which you can paddle in. Honeymoon Cottage is ideally located away from the main road, surrounded by fields, with no immediate neighbours. It's equi-distant to both wedding venues (Dodford Manor and Dodmoor House) which are just a 5-10 minute walk, less than half a mile. Silverstone circuit is a 20 minute drive. The space This modern style bedroom is situated on the ground floor within the main house. It is fully self contained with it's own entrance, you do not need to come through our house to access the space. The main bed can be made up as either 1 x superking or 2 x single beds. An additional two folding camp beds can be provided which are suitable for children or small adults. All beds are within the same spacious room. The bedroom is lockable with a Yale lock. There is a private bathroom containing toilet, shower and small hand basin. Double aspect folding doors open out from the bedroom onto a patio area directly outside your room, where there are patio chairs and a small table for your use. Another self contained space is available as an add-on to this room - the Summerhouse sleeps two on 2 x single beds or 1 x superking. Useful for parties of 4 who do not wish to share the same bedroom and want to spread out a little more. Both spaces share the same bathroom/toilet which is situated next to The Garden Room approx 10 metres from The Summerhouse (some steps to be negotiated). The Summerhouse will only be rented to guests staying the Garden Room. Guest access Visitors to the Garden Room have access to a washing machine and tumble dryer (no charge). Long stay guests are able to use our kitchen to prepare meals and space in the main fridge and freezer will be provided. Access to our kitchen is by prior arrangement only - please enquire. We are happy to agree set times for exclusive use of the kitchen for long stay guests. Short stay guests (less than 7 day rental) - there is a small fridge situated in the bedroom for storage of drinks and snacks. A folding table is provided for working/dining and all cutlery, glasses, plates etc are stored within your room. Please note that there are no washing up facilities in the room. Just place any used items in the hallway and we will pop them through the dishwasher. Feel free to wander around the gardens, vegetable plot and take a peak at the Hobbit House (providing there are no guests staying in it)! Please respect our private patio area and that of the other rental room at the opposite end of the house. That way we all keep a little bit of privacy. During your stay We would love to welcome you to our home, but realise that some people prefer to come and go independently. Whilst we are around for a chat and recommendations on the local area, we respect your privacy. The level of interaction is entirely up to you. Other things to note There are tea and coffee making facilities in your room plus a mini fridge stocked with yogurt, granola, fresh milk, orange juice, fruit and pastries for short stay guests of less than seven days. Long stay guests should provide their own breakfast and food items, this is reflected in the discount given. There are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a full English - we can provide recommendations. Likewise there are many pubs, restaurants and riverside dining venues to suit all budgets within a few miles radius. Not to mention the takeaways (many of which offer free delivery to the cottage). We provide plates and cutlery for those wanting a takeaway. There is a dining table and chairs in your room. There are cctv cameras around the outside of the property for your safety.
