Private and detached cottage in fantastic area. Lots of fun in walking distance. Great for single or couple. Filled with art. Queen bed, stove, oven, microwave, full bathroom (shower, no tub). Easy parking. We accept most pets, but must discuss in advance, to know about barking or other issues. The space This is a completely private and detached cottage, sharing the grounds with a 100 year old historic landmark (of "Major Importance" in Oakland's registry). This studio is filled with lots of art and everything a single or couple could need. Queen bed, stove (2 burners), oven, microwave, toaster, complete bathroom (shower but no bathtub). Abundant parking curbside at the house is always available. This is one of the safest and most walkable area of all Oakland (right on the border of Piedmont), and also has very easy access to buses and Bart to SF, Berkeley, and the entire Bay Area. All kinds of shopping in walking distance. Many great restaurants include Zachary's, Sister, Shakell, Star, and Bardo. If you're feeling like something fast, there's Chipotle, Noahs Bagels, two ice cream / frozen yogurt places, and four pizza places in walking distance (from NY-style by the slice, to Chicago deep-dish, to uber-Gourmet). For coffee, we have both Starbucks and Peets. 5 minute walk to several beautiful parks, playgrounds, gyms and public tennis courts. The beautiful, historic Grand Lake movie theater, with the latest films, is about 1 mile away. Many of the hottest bands play just 2 miles away at the Fox and Paramount Theaters. Tons of public transit. AC Transit Bus #26 to Bart and elsewhere picks up and drops off on our block. As shown in photos, there are stairs up to the property.
