Old, detached half-timbered house directly on the Elbe dyke
At the gates of the small Hanseatic city of Werben in the Altmark, there is one of the oldest farmsteads of the Wische, which was later acquired by the Prussian Chancellor and Minister of Justice Heinrich Julius von Goldbeck, (* 1733 Stendal; † 1818 Berlin) in the 18th Century was renamed Gut Neu Goldbeck. A larger half-timbered house from the middle of the 19th Century. From 1985 onwards, the present owner began to rebuild this detached house mainly with historical building materials. In part of the house a. a spacious apartment with a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room on the ground floor and two large bedrooms on the top floor. In winter, the apartment is traditionally equipped with stoves, e.g. B. with a large clay oven and fireplace in the living room or an iron oven (Bullerjan) in the bedroom, heated. Sufficient firewood is always available. Nearby shops are in Werben which u. a. can be reached by bike over the Elbe dike in 10 minutes. The cozy kitchen can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people around a large dining table. In addition to an oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and radio, the kitchen is equipped with old restored kitchen cupboards, in which there are enough dishes, roasters and pots. An elevated child's chair is also available. In the bathroom there is a separate shower next to a toilet, a bath, a double sink. The living room with its fireplace, piano, game table and various seating options invites you to a cozy get-together even on rainy days. A fold-out large sofa bed (140 x 190) also allows a bed for two people. The two large accommodations on the top floor consist of a triple room (double bed + single bed) and a double room. If necessary, two baby beds can be provided. The extensive meadows with fruit trees surrounding the house invite you to breakfast outdoors, to barbecue in the evening and to relax in a deck chair. They also offer enough play space for children.
