Bethany House - rest, relax, refresh!

A warm welcome and a generous Continental breakfast awaits you at our chalet bungalow where guests have the exclusive use of the top floor - a large, bright bedroom, separate bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower, and a small dining/sitting area equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, toaster and a fridge. PLEASE NOTE that the suite is located in the converted eaves of the bungalow which means that there is restricted height at the sides of the rooms. The space A complementary Continental breakfast is included, consisting of fruit salad, homemade bread, and a range of quality teas, coffee, cereals and preserves. Our property is in a very quiet cul-de-sac with lovely views of the surrounding fields and National Trust moorland, yet is just a few minutes’ stroll from the centre of the vibrant Pennine village of Slaithwaite. The public footpath which runs beside our house gives easy access to a network of glorious walks, and the covered veranda at the rear of our property is a secure place to leave bikes or walking boots. Even though we are so conveniently located for the many shops, restaurants, bars and pubs in the village, the peace and quiet here is usually only disturbed by the sound of sheep, cattle or birds. For walkers of the Pennine Way, it may be possible for us to collect you by car from the walk's junction with the A62 and return you to the same spot at the end of your stay to continue your walk - we are just a 10 minute drive away. Please note that our 2-night minimum stay policy DOES NOT APPLY to Pennine Way walkers. We have a small cat, Lola, whom guests may encounter during their visit; however, she is shy of strangers and will probably retreat to her favourite place of safety on top of the wardrobe in our bedroom! She understands that she is never allowed in the guest rooms! Guest access In addition to the guest suite itself, we are happy for our guests to wander round the garden or sit on our patio when the Yorkshire weather permits! During your stay You will be sharing our family home and I am around most of the time, so if there is anything that would make your stay more enjoyable or relaxing, please do not hesitate to mention it. Please note that, apart from providing the Continental breakfast daily, we will respect your privacy and not enter your private space unless invited to do so.
