We are 12 miles east of Marquette, with miles of beautiful sandy beach to walk, although there isn’t a view of the lake from the carriage house. It is located only 250 feet from the shores of Lake Superior. It is a upper level one bedroom fully furnished apartment , it’s quaint but very comfortable, the perfect little getaway! This is a carriage house apartment! with 1 bedroom (queen bed) , a loft (two twin beds framed by wood on the floor) It has a low ceiling and a steep ship staircase. The living space is a big open room that has 2 couches, the bathroom is small, but it sleeps 4 comfortably. The carriage house is located about 250 feet from the beach, so its just a hop skip and a jump to miles of sandy beach. we leave the carriage house open with keys on the kitchen table for you upon arrival. We live in the main house on the property between the carriage house and the beach, we are just across the driveway so if you need anything we are not to far away. We are located 12 miles east of marquette, on the sandy shores of lake superior. It is a 20 minute drive to Marquette and 28 miles west of munising which is where the pictured rocks national lakeshore is located. We are nestled away from the road with a shared driveway with two other cabins. This place is our roots, our old family property, we are happy to share with the world!! We have wifi for your convenience but no cable tv. You can stream Netflix, Hulu or Amazon prime from the blue ray player if you have those subscriptions. Our well is situated on an old salt aquifer, it is slow recovering so we ask that you use water consciously and not let it run unnecessarily. We don't drink our water due to the tannins and salt in it so we do offer a 5 gallon water cooler for your drinking and cooking.
