Enjoy the fantastic water view from every room, feed ducks and swans from the living room windows and relax on the sunny water terrace or in the sunny garden! The location is great, very close to Amsterdam and the world famous windmills of the Zaanse Schans and just across the road are beautiful nature reserves. The ideal base to explore the area and then relax in our sunny garden or on the water terrace! Take the free bicycles to explore the area and take our motorboat to visit the windmills from the water and enter the beautiful nature reserve (1 minute)! The motorboat costs 25 euros for your entire stay only! About the houseboat The houseboat has a sunny living room with a beautiful view over the water and through the large sliding doors you can easily step into the garden. All rooms have central heating. There are 2 bedrooms with large windows that both overlook the water and the garden. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an espresso machine for freshly ground coffee and a new bathroom with shower and toilet. You can enjoy the sunny terrace boat from where you can enjoy the houseboat experience or the sunny garden with terrace over the water! The terrace can also be reached from the living room through the large sliding doors, from which you also have a beautiful view over the garden! We have bicycles available for free, also for children and also with a child seat. Free parking is available across the street from the houseboat. We have NETFLIX and lots of games for kids and the whole family (or friends of course!) On request you can use our washing machine and dryer for free. The houseboat is an ideal base: ★ Visit Amsterdam center in 20 - 25 minutes, depending on whether you go there by car (P+R) or public transport (or a combination). Not only at the Central Station, but really the heart of the city! Or cycle there via a beautiful route through the Twiske! ★ Sail to the beautiful windmills with our ★motorboat★. You sail past the houseboats and then past the windmills. Really fantastic to see the mills from the water! Or sail into the beautiful nature reserve with the windmills in the background as a bonus! Go under the bridge from the houseboat and you're there! Read the conditions for using the motorboat in the house rules of the advertisement). ★ Cycle to the Zaanse Schans windmills in 5 minutes via our special cycling route along houseboats and the beautiful wooden houses of Haaldersbroek. Or drive there by car in 2 minutes (!). We have several cycling routes available! ★ Cross the road to see the beautiful nature reserve! Have a picnic on the dike overlooking the nature reserve, with the windmills of the Zaanse Schans in the background! ★ Take the ferry from Zaanse Schans to Amsterdam Central and come back with the direct bus that stops around the corner from the houseboat. ★ Enjoy a drink or delicious food at my favorite restaurant Heerenhuis, across the road! ★ Relax on one of the swimming beaches of the Jagersveld (5 min by bike or car) or go to the Twiske. ★ Explore the area by bike through our special cycling routes! ★ Explore the larger area by car via our special autoroute route that shows you the most beautiful places in the area and also the fishing villages of Edam / Volendam. The houseboat is located on the main access road to the highway and on a good cycle path to the Zaanse Schans and train station. Guest access The houseboat, garden, water terrace and motorboat are all for your private use. Bikes are for free, please take care of them! The motorboat is available upon request. When you use it you agree to our conditions and rules, and using it costs 25 euro for you whole stay if you use it. It is a motorboat with an electrical engine, you can't go to Amsterdam with it, because the distance is too far. You can only take out the motorboat if you understand the following conditions. If you take out the motorboat, you automatically have agreed to the following conditions: * You use the boat and engine completely at your own risk. You understand that taking the boat to go boating might be a risk and you agree that we cannot be held liable in any way. * You’re responsible for your own safety and that of others! * We are not liable for any damages or injuries or accidents caused by usage of the boat and/or engine or during usage of the boat and/or engine. We are even not liable when caused by malfunction or defect of the boat and/or engine, or because of misuse of the boat and/or engine or not understanding instructions or incomplete/wrong instructions on operation. * If you are uncertain, do not use the boat and/or engine. * If you cause an accident, damage or injury, you’re responsible and you will need to compensate / pay for it. We are not liable, even not when caused by malfunction or defect of the boat and/or engine, or because of misuse of the boat and/or engine or not understanding instructions or incomplete/wrong instructions on operation. If you are uncertain, do not use the boat and/or engine. * We have provided instructions on operation of the boat and engine. And we have provided a route to the windmills and in the area around the houseboat. These are merely intended as a guides. We are not responsible in any way when following these instructions or routes result in injury, accident or damages. * The boat has no insurance and if you use it, you don't have insurance either! If you are uncertain, do not use the boat/engine. * The river at the windmills is a large river. The water is usually calm, but you will need to judge by yourself if you and others will be safe. On the river, there are bigger (transport) ships and faster water traffic. Therefore, you will need to keep to the shore at all times and check around you for other water traffic! Keep distance, do not cause dangerous situations and keep yourselves and others safe. Do not cross the river to go to the other side. * You’re not allowed to dock the boat at any other place than the houseboat. Do not leave the boat unattended, and always lock and tie it at the houseboat when you’re finished! * People under 18 years cannot use the boat unattended. * Only use the boat with people who can swim!
