Frankweiler Southern Wine Route

We live where others go on holiday and we want to share that with you! In this winemaker's house in Frankweiler on Germany's Southern Wine Route (Weinstraße), you can really experience the charm of the region. Surrounded by wineries, forests, hiking trails, castles, restaurants and beautiful vineyards, you can relax, explore and enjoy your time here. For long or short stays, just contact us and come by! We'd love to have you here. -Sweet, original winemaker's house on the German Wine Route (Weinstraße) -suitable for 2-4 people -pet-friendly -family-friendly -LBGT-friendly -up to 4 people are welcome to stay here -when a booking is made for 2 people, you will have access to the ground floor only. If access to the second floor and an extra bedroom is wished, please let us know. This will incur a surcharge. - Large bedroom with double bed (160X200) - smaller private room on the first floor with double bed (140X200) - bathroom with bathtub incl. shower head (the bathroom is en suite... i.e. access to the bathroom is through the bedroom itself ) - large living room with 40" flatscreen TV, radio and further sleeper couch - large kitchen with all of the essential appliances, cutlery and crockery (There is a stove, oven, toaster, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave.) -private parking available in courtyard -pets may be brought along upon agreement with us During your stay, we are available for questions and tips. If we're not at home, you can also call us. We speak English and German. -There is a bakery just four houses down. It’s really convenient for the breakfast breadrolls, a slice of cake, or a really delicious cup of coffee. -Within walking distance there are some brilliant wineries like “Weingut Sohn” or “Weingut Lidy”, where a wine tasting is really worth your while. - There are also various Cafés and Restaurants in the area, which cater for many different tastes (both regional and international). - For cyclists, this area is a paradise! Upon agreement, our bicycles can also be used. - Especially in Summer and Autumn there are a lot of wine festivals in the region with live music, art, crafts, regional food and of course, wine. - During the harvest, the new wine and “Onion Tart” (Zwiebelkuchen) are a must-try! -The villages Gleisweiler, Albersweiler, Rhodt, Hainfeld, Edesheim and many more are easily accessible and offer a lot of interesting activities. - Bus station “Frankweiler Rathaus”, approx. 200m away - Next train station is in Albersweiler, approx. 2km away - Landau Main Train Station is approx 7,5 km away - There are various bicycle trails in the area. - The house is easily accessible by car and a private parking space in the courtyard is available - Es gibt einen Bäcker 4 Häuser weiter ... Sehr praktisch für die Frühstücksbrötchen, Kuchen oder eine leckere Tasse Kaffee - In fußläufiger Nähe befinden sich klasse Weingüter, wie der Weingut Sohn oder Weingut Lidy wo eine Verkostung sich wirklich lohnt! - Auch zu Fuß erreichbar sind toller Cafés und Restaurants - Für Fahrradfahrer ist die Umgebung ein Paradies.
