The 4 Superior Guest Rooms, have been carefully renovated to offer the highest standard of comfort and include a small daily breakfast. The 30 - 40m² suites feature a modern box spring bed, a comfortable seating area and work desk, as well as a bathroom with underfloor heating and a separate toilet. The space The 4 Superior rooms are part of the Barock-Landhof Burkhardt **** country estate in the heart of Spitz an der Donau - a hidden gem in the centre of the Wachau UNESCO World Heritage Area. With individual apartments and premium double bedrooms, a sun terrace with a panoramic view and charming facilities, the Barock-Landhof Burkhardt estate is a perfect blend of modern comfort and history. Our quiet, park-like garden allows you to unwind and relax under old fruit trees. Wine and food lovers will enjoy the many cosy wine taverns and charming restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The estate is also an ideal starting point for the famous World Heritage Trail ‘Welterbesteig’, the popular Danube cycle path and for excursions to numerous, nearby cultural sites as well as several World class golf courses. We, family Burkhardt, are the proud hosts of the the estate, which in the 12th century was used as a monastery vineyard before being converted into an estate during the Baroque period. The estate has now been in family ownership for eight generations. We have made it our highest priority to care for the property and to pass it on to future generations enriched.
