Accommodation on the farm in the barn Tarmo

Hello, we are Esko and Leena, the host couple of Tuukkala Farm. We live here year-round. For 300 years, our space has been part of the host's family, and we strive to be as responsible as possible to keep the space and nature for the next centuries. Welcome! The space The barn is located in the courtyard. The atmospheric log fence has no windows or heating, so it's only available during the summer (June 1.-1.9.). Shared showers, toilet, and kitchen are located in another building. The granary is located in the garden building. There is no windows or heating in the cosy log granary, so it can only be reserved for summer time (1.6.-1.9.). Shared showers, toilet and kitchen are located in another building. We serve a country breakfast in the summer on the glass veranda of the main house of the 19th century. Breakfast serves homemade pastries or waffles made by Leena or Esko. We use berries grown in jams and juices in our own garden. In the summer, there are chickens on our farm, so it's also possible to get a taste of your own chicken eggs at breakfast. As our newest hobby, we've started taking care of bees, so there's a chance to get our own bee honey in the near future. We prefer domestic local food in our products. In the summer, we're delighted with 10 chickens. Our animals are free to say hello. Our farm has a large lush garden with a trampoline for children and a variety of yard games. The garden also has great barbecue facilities for summer evenings. We've renovated our old pond into a summer drying room. So if you happen to get wet on your way to us, the drying room is free for you. Guest access Tuukkala's space is located in Mikkeli Ristiina along the Green Gold Cultural Road. The area offers diverse route choices for cyclists and bikers. The traditional dance stage of the forest castle is located about 4km from our farm. Sundays can be romantically touched, even along old dirt roads by bike. One of Finland's largest rock paintings in Astuvansalmi is located about 24km away and is a nature destination worth a visit. Pien-Toijola Peasant Museum is a museum space about 22km away. Open only in summertime. The nearest beach, grocery stores, and restaurant services are located in Risti, about 4km from our farm. Other things to note Our farm leaves the old village road, and you can admire the countryside. So a peaceful village road is a great place for an evening walk, a morning walk, or even a birding bonus trip.
