Stable End - Escape into the Suffolk Countryside

Enjoy a relaxing break away in our lovingly restored holiday cottage. Stable End is a converted barn set on a 30 acre arable farm, situated on the edge of the attractive village of Walsham-le-Willows and in the curtilage of a 17th Century Suffolk thatched farmhouse. Our holiday cottage is conveniently placed to explore the delights of the Suffolk, Norfolk & Essex countryside with excellent country walks direct from the property. It's also a perfect base to visit many of Suffolk's attractions. The space A warm welcome is assured all year round with under-floor heating and a wood burning stove in the vaulted sitting room. Add to that chocolates, wine, and seasonal flowers on arrival and the scene is set for a lovely, relaxing holiday away, in a truly home from home. Stable End has been converted into a holiday cottage providing all modern facilities whilst maintaining a wealth of exposed beams. Always commended year on year with a gold award for achieving excellent feedback and a score of 100% for 'Accommodation Overall'. Kitchen is very well equipped and includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, double oven, microwave, slo-cooker and cafetiere. We do hold a stock of reasonably priced firewood. Freshly laid bed linen and towels are included. For entertainment, we have a selection of books, games and DVDs with Wi-Fi available in the bedrooms. Picnic basket, blankets, plastic crocks, cool bags, ice blocks and flask are available during your stay to set you off on your Suffolk adventures. Disposable BBQ and portable stand can be found in the shed together with cushions and parasols. Guest access Stable End has an enclosed courtyard garden with outdoor furniture. You are also welcome to use seating in the adjacent paddock with lovely views of the surrounding area. There is a pond and a wood on the farm, which you are welcome to explore. We have a plentiful supply of birds, ducks and a resident goose. A gate at the bottom of the wood leads out to a rustic bench, again with lovely views, and access to public footpaths. Other things to note Please note there is only a shower and not a bath. There is no tumble dryer.
