Description
Top renovated and beautiful: Our farmhouse in Biebrich is situated between the fantastic Taunus Mountains and the wild Westerwald - not far from the enchanted river Lahn - and offers hikers, cyclists and families a wonderful temporary home. The space Favourite place: the kitchen A spacious and well-equipped kitchen tempts you to try out unknown delicacies and to have late-night kitchen conversations on the corner bench. Of course, everything is available to bring the most amazing treats to the table - including cookery books: coffee machine, French press, mixer, blender, bread machine, toaster, kettle, pans, cooking pots, knives in all sizes, storage tins, and and and. The kitchen highlight – especially for children - however, is the flaker: you can make your own oatmeal in the morning in no time at all. If required, we will be happy to provide you with oats to try out. The Living Room To chill out, read, netflix or watch TV you can use the cosy living room with another dining table. The patio is just outside the living room and you can access it through the patio doors. The Bedrooms Once up the stairs, you enter the master bedroom: a Kingsize bed (2x2m) with a large wardrobe, mirrored chest of drawers and lots of space around it. Also on the first floor is the smaller bedroom with a French or Queensize bed (1.40x2m). Between the two bedrooms is the small bathroom with shower and toilet. The third bedroom is located in the attic: Here you can look up to the sky directly from the second Kingsize bed (with open end, 1.80x2m). The spacious room is equipped with a an additional sofa. And yes, sometimes you just have to work on holiday. You can open your laptop at the extra desk - and just leave it there... If you have spontaneous visitors on holiday, the sofa can be converted into another bed. The Bathrooms There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet, and an additional guest toilet. When the house is full, both bathrooms give you time for a relaxed morning routine where no one has to push the other. Of course, there is a vanity mirror, hairdryer, soap, shampoo and toothpaste. And finally, a look into the pantry: here you'll find a washing machine and ironing board - should you ever need them. A Tour through the Garden At harvest time there are plenty of apples, pears, cherries, plums and walnuts - you can bake cakes or just eat the fruits fresh from the trees. Also mint, sage, nettles and many other wild herbs are waiting for the kettle or pot. Of course, you can also just relax and enjoy a cool drink or a cup of tea on the terrace while the barbecue heats up. The Estate Our property consists of two neighbouring old farmhouses, which in 1820 were built as one house. When the original building was inherited by two brothers in the 19th century, they separated it in the middle and bricked up the connecting doors. They then each extended their own half by adding a new wing. Over many generations, the descendants of both farmsteads have then converted or extended the building according to their needs. In 1995 we, the Ritters, looked for a nest for our future family and bought the farm at Lindenstraße 18. Fourteen years later, in 2009, the neighbouring house No. 16 was also for sale and we reunited the buildings again. The number 16 is now available to you since April 2019 as a holiday home. Number 18 remains our home. Guest access You have a complete house with a good 140 square metres at your disposal. The room occupancy and bathroom use depends on the number of guests. On the ground floor you will find the cosy kitchen, the spacious living room with TV (Netflix), a bathroom with shower, toilet and bathtub (use when booking for at least 3 people) and a separate guest toilet. On the first floor you will find the master bedroom (2 x 2 m Kingsize Bed) and a smaller bedroom (1.40 x 2m Queensize bed) as well as another bathroom with toilet. In the rustic attic there is a second Kingsize bed, a sofa, desk and play corner with a box full of toys. In the courtyard and garden you can barbecue, chill out and start or end the day.
