Pension zum Rothaarsteig

Our lovingly refurbished "Gästehaus zum Rothaarsteig", completely renovated in 2015, is located in the most forested region of North Rhine-Westphalia, on the southern edge of the Rothaar Mountains. Here is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike and motorcycle tours. The spacious house is also a suitable place for a cozy time with friends or family. We are certified as a "Bed and Bike Sport" company and Rothaarsteig quality company and have 3 Dehoga stars. The space Our house has about 300 square meters of living and usable space and can accommodate 15 people in 8 bedrooms. It is very bright and friendly with mostly real wood furniture, breathable plaster and many natural materials. The ground floor is the central point of the house. Here is the spacious kitchen with a large dining room. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils: dishwasher, extra large ceramic hob with 5 burners, extra large oven, food processors, kettle, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, toaster, bread machine, microwave, large pots, bowls, sieves, etc. In the dining room is a large table for 15 people. Here you can look through the window front with access outside to the spacious garden. The adjoining living room has a flat-screen TV with DVD player that invites you to a movie night. On the ground floor there is another lounge, where there is a whiteboard in addition to other seating, which is great for planning cycling and hiking tours. Also on the first floor is a bathroom, a single bedroom with bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds with bathroom next door and a bedroom with double bed with bathroom in the room. On the first floor of the vacation home you will find a single room with bathroom in the room. A twin room with bathroom next door, a twin room with bathroom in the room. At the end of the hallway there are two more rooms; a single room and a double room. On the upper floor (attic) is our starry sky room, which is furnished with a double bed. There are two bathrooms for these three rooms. One bathroom is equipped with a shower and the second has no shower. Both bathrooms have a double sink. In the attic there is a lounge with a large collection of games. You can book a children's travel cot, including bed linen. For this we charge 12.50 euros/stay. All guest rooms have flat-screen satellite TVs and a coffee bar with kettle. In the basement there are two more rooms (a single room and a double room) with a large bathroom. These rooms are not part of the rental property and can be booked according to availability and only by prior arrangement. The costs for this are 89 euros/night for both rooms/1 bathroom together and a one-time cleaning fee of 40 euros. The garden is about 3500 square meters and offers many seating areas. There is a fire bowl and a barbecue. For all bikers we have a lockable storage space, a washing area and repair facilities for the bicycle. We have a large playground with swing and sandbox Unfortunately, our house is not accessible. Guest access The house with three floors (ground floor, 1st floor and 3rd floor). The basement is not part of the rental property and can only be booked after consultation and availability. The adjoining house including balcony and the terrace below are not part of the rental property (private area). Dogs may only be kept on a leash in the garden area (on a short leash - no long leash!). There are a maximum of three parking spaces available to our guests in front of the house. All other vehicles must be parked behind the house in the parking spaces available for this purpose during the stay. Other things to note We have equipped our house and garden with lots of love, high-quality materials and equipment so that our guests can feel at home. We expect our guests to handle all the things provided to them carefully and with care, so that the next guest can still enjoy them. The beds are made when you arrive. The deposit is €300 and will be refunded to you after your stay if it is not used. The rent of the bed linen is mandatory and costs 8.00 euros per person. To make your stay as pleasant as possible, you can book a "wellness package" for a one-time flat rate of 15.50 euros per person. This includes bed linen and bed rugs, towels, bath mats, bathrobe and bath slippers, as well as shower gel, soap, hygiene cleaner, facial tissues and garbage bags. This package also includes the additional equipment of the kitchen with dishwashing detergent, dishwasher tabs, cleaner, dishcloth, baking paper, foil, garbage bags, vinegar, oil, spices, salt and pepper. Dogs are welcome here. We charge 18 euros/day and dog. Since we have wooden stairs in the house, the dogs are only allowed on the ground floor. In the garden, dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs may ONLY be brought along by personal prior arrangement. The price for the final cleaning is 230 euros. Unfortunately, renting the vacation home is not possible without an advance payment of 300 euros (deposit). The security deposit fee must be paid through the Airbnb portal.
