Our lovingly prepared "Gästehaus zum Rothaarsteig", renovated in 2015, is located in the most wooded region of North Rhine-Westphalia, on the southern edge of the Rothaargebirge. Here is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike and motorbike tours. The spacious house is also a perfect place for a cozy time with friends or family. We are certified as a "Bed and Bike Sport" company and Rothaarsteig quality company and have 3 Dehoga stars. The space Our house has about 300 sqm of living and usable space and can accommodate 15 persons in 8 bedrooms. It is very bright and friendly with predominantly real wood furniture, breathable plaster and many natural materials. In the basement is the laundry room with washer and dryer, which can be used for a fee, ironing board and iron. In a separate room in front there is the possibility to hang outdoor clothing and store shoes. Also in the basement there is a very large bathroom for shared use (for an additional fee and only by prior arrangement). The ground floor is the central point of the house. Here is the spacious kitchen with large dining room. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils: dishwasher, extra large ceramic hob with 5 plates, extra large oven, kitchen machines, kettle, coffee machine, Nespresso machine, toaster, bread machine, microwave, large pots, bowls, sieves etc. In the dining room there is a large table for 15 people. Here you can see through the window front with access to the spacious garden outside. In the adjoining living room there is a flat screen TV with DVD player, which invites you to a movie night. There is another common room on the ground floor, with a whiteboard in addition to other seating areas, which is great for planning cycling and hiking tours. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom, a single bedroom with bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds with bathroom next door and a bedroom with double bathroom in the room. On the first floor of the cottage you will find a single room with bathroom in the room. One twin room with bathroom next door, one twin room with bathroom in the room. At the end of the hallway there are two further rooms; one single bedroom and one double. On the upper floor (attic) is our starry sky room, which is equipped with a double bed. For these three rooms there are two bathrooms. One bathroom of it is equipped with a shower and the second has no shower facilities. Both bathrooms have a double vanity. In the attic there is a common room with a large collection of games. A children's travel cot, incl. bedding, can be booked. For this we charge 12,50 Euro/stay. In all guest rooms there are flat-screen TVs with satellite TV and a coffee bar with kettle. The garden is about 3500 square meters and offers many seating. There is a fire bowl and a barbecue. For all bikers we have a lockable parking space a washing area and repair facilities for the bike. We have a large playground with swing and sandbox Our house is unfortunately not accessible. Guest access The entire house is available to guests (by arrangement with basement). The annex included. Balcony and the terrace below are not part of the rental property. Dogs are only allowed on a leash in the garden area. Other things to note We have equipped our house and garden with a lot of love, high quality materials and appliances to make our guests feel right at home. We expect our guests to handle all things provided with care and care so that the next guest can still enjoy it. Beds are made when you arrive. The deposit is 300 euros and will be paid back to you in case of non-use after your stay. Linen rental is obligatory and costs 8,00 euro per person. In order to make your stay as comfortable as possible, you can book a "feel-good package" for a one-time fee of 15.50 euros per person. This includes bed linen and bed rugs, towels, bath mats, bathrobe and bath slippers, as well as shower gel, soap, hygiene cleaners, cosmetic towels and garbage bags. This package also includes the further equipment of the kitchen with detergent, dishwasher tablets, cleaner, dishcloth, oven paper, foil, garbage bags, vinegar, oil, spices, salt and pepper. Dogs are welcome with us. We charge 20 euros/day and dog. Since we have wooden stairs in the house, the dogs are only allowed to spend time downstairs. In the garden, there is leash duty for dogs. Dogs may ONLY be brought along by personal prior arrangement.
