The independent guest entrance welcomes you to the spacious, cosy open plan living room/dining room. This space conveniently also has the full kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle and everything you need to prepare food, if required. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer and washing machine Double French doors lead to the pretty south facing fenced, private courtyard which is secluded and not overlooked. Ideal, where a glass of wine can be enjoyed in peace and tranquility … where in the summer months you can relax in the shade under the apple tree. Soak up the calm ambiance and listen to the birds. The large double bedroom upstairs is inviting and appealing with its sloping ceilings and ensuite shower room. Through two small ‘cottage style’ double doors you will find the modern shower room. The Lodge is nestled in the beautiful village of Great Somerford, through which the River Avon meanders, on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is a short 10 minute drive to the historical market town of Malmesbury where many restaurants, cafes and independent shops can be enjoyed. Parking for two cars is immediately in front of the property. Great Somerford is extremely conveniently located 4 miles from junction 17, M4. The Georgian city of Bath is 25 minutes, Tetbury country home of King Charles 20 minutes, Cirencester often known as the capital of the Cotswolds 20 minutes, the ‘must see’ Cotswolds ancient villages of Lacock and Castle Combe 20 minutes. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit and countryside to explore in your trip to the Cotswolds! Guest access Guests have private access to the whole space. Other things to note Conveniently the village of Great Somerford provides a local shop which sells everyday provisions and a pub ‘The Volunteer’ which serves good pub food. Both within two minutes walk of The Lodge. Beautiful village walks along the River Avon show North Wiltshire at its best.
