Stow House Farm Cottages, Bramble Cottage

Bramble Cottage is a charming, two bedroom bolthole on a rural farm on the outskirts of Durham. This pretty little cottage is one of four and has been lovingly converted from the farm’s old barn. For those who want to holiday as part of a larger group we have Ivy Cottage and Cornmill Cottage next door which sleep 3 and 6 respectively. The space The accommodation is all on one level and has a single and a double bedroom. Both bedrooms benefit from brand new, luxury Emma Mattresses which we replaced in spring 2021. We installed a brand new, fitted kitchen with an induction hob and integrated fridge/freezer compartment in spring 2020. There is also a new dining table in the kitchen diner with space for 3 guests. The living room has lovely views out onto the woods and fields and has a comfortable, new “lounger sofa”. The cottage also benefits from a brand new, HD smart tv which you are able to stream your own Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ accounts from. The bathroom is being renovated entirely in January 2022 and will have a wc, sink, illumiated vanity mirror and large, walk in rain shower. Outside is an abundance of space to enjoy. We have picnic benches, our own woods and a multitude of footpaths to explore. We are ideally based for cyclists, hikers and those looking for a lazy rural retreat. The cottage has just had new windows and doors fitted in October 2020. These have made the cottage feel much warmer and let more light in. There is parking to the front of the cottage on the gravelled driveway. We do not provide a bbq but please feel free to bring your own disposable ones and use on the gravelled area outside of the cottage.
