Beautiful, light, airy self-catering barn with piano, twin or Super King bed, equipped kitchen. Perfect getaway from the city, quiet music retreat and excellent romantic setting for a Wedding Night. Private area with lawn for the use of guests, that is not overlooked. Parking for two cars. Good walks and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The space The Tractor Shed is a beautiful barn conversion with stunning oak-beamed interior, glazed entirely on one side. Double doors open out to a terrace and grass area with sun loungers surrounded by an ornamental fruiting hedge. The living space is open plan with a modern kitchen at one end. A comfortable sitting area with TV and piano (that is kept tuned) is central to the space, with the sleeping area beyond, discreetly and effectively screened with curtains. There is a flexible arrangement of beds, which can be either a super-king width size (of regular length) or twin beds, on request. The space has an oak floor throughout with underfloor heating, which gives a lovely ambient warmth. All of the large windows are fitted with electric blinds and operated by remote control, for privacy at night. The separate entrance hall has coat hooks and cupboards for hanging and storage. There is a compact dishwasher in one of these cupboards, with cleaning equipment. The WC/ Shower room is off the entrance hall with an oak sliding door. Wi fi is available. The space is not ideal for small children but we may accept babes in arms. The barn electricity supply is solar powered. We encourage recycling and care for the environment. The Tractor Shed is named after it's long use as just that, when the farmyard was in use between 1946 and 2003. It then became a glory-hole of farm storage and discarded paraphernalia before being converted in 2012. Rachel was born here and grew up on the farm, which has seen many changes. Today the farming practice managed by Rachel's brother, is conscientious about soil improvement. There is a revolving arable crop rotation, and on occasions, depending on the time of year, there may be agricultural activity nearby. This is rarely of any real disturbance to the tranquility of the Tractor Shed. Guest access The Tractor Shed is separate from the main house, not overlooked and very private. It has its own entrance and parking for two cars. There is a mown grassy area in front for the use of guests, with a terrace and outdoor table and chairs. We have a Pod Point for charging electric cars which is available on request for a charge fee. Other things to note SLEEPING & Arrival:- Please specify early whether you would require a Super King or twin beds, and if possible please give time of arrival. The property will either be left open for you, or we will leave the key in a safe place and inform you beforehand. BREAKFAST :- The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and we provide everyday and breakfast ingredients - tea, coffee, herbal drinks, cereals, bread, butter, milk, yoghurts, sugar, salt, pepper, oil. You receive a welcome hamper with croissants, jam, marmalade, eggs and brownies (or similar).
