PLEASE NOTE! For the safety of all, I am inviting only people who have had the Covid vaccination. Please be prepared to show proof upon arrival. Welcome to The Bunkhouse at Wylld Lily Gardens! We are located in Fern Valley, one mile to the village also a mile to hiking trails. The Bunkhouse is a studio located next to the main cabin, really a "tiny house", with complete privacy to tour, hike, or enjoy my tranquil mountain garden! Smoking or candles are not permitted in the bunkhouse. Within the bunkhouse we have tried to provide all the creature comforts of home within its cozy space. There are 2 Twin beds, one extra long, and both are equipped with comforters as well as heated mattress pads for warm sleeping on winter nights. The bathroom has a walk in shower. The kitchenette has a mini freezer/fridge, microwave, electric try pan, tableware, fast heating electric kettle for coffee, tea, cocoa, which are included. A wall hung table folds down with two comfortable chairs for cooking, eating, or game playing. Hair dryer, tv with Roku, wifi, and a charging station for all tech! I request that there is no smoking inside the bunkhouse, but an ashtray is provided on the patio table just outside your door if you are a smoker. Please use caution with fire on our mountain! I have a full service generator that keeps electricity going if SoCalEdison needs to turn off electric power. That's a real comfort! Not all dogs are allowed, but please write me for permission to bring your dog. Two people only, its a tiny space! Service dogs always permitted. You are welcome to have access to all parts of the property. Stroll around, sit around in any of the seating areas, or enjoy the hammock under the shade of an umbrella. The garage and my cabin are the only areas off limits. If you are a hiker, smoking or fires of any kind are not permitted in the forest! Use caution always! I would request that you inform me if you anticipate having additional guests visit you during your stay. Thank you. Wild Lily Gardens is named for the Humboldt Lily, a California rare wildflower which flourishes here in great abundance. Bloom times vary, usually starting in early July, lasting for several weeks. Another fabulous bloom is The Rose, a Newport Fairy heritage climbing rose that spans over 80 feet, covering parts of the bunkhouse, woodshed, and main cabin. In May it is abloom with light pink roses and is truly a spectacle that has cars screeching to a halt. Other wildflowers are on the property at different times starting with thousands of daffodils in early Spring. Blooming through summer are lilacs, lupine, penstamon, yarrow, and more! The waterfall on the front patio creates a sense of tranquility and also attracts the many beautiful birds we enjoy here on our mountain paradise. Resident greeter is the Bandit, a friendly terrier who loves guests here in our mountain retreat, as do we! We are approximately 1 mile to the village and 2 miles to Devil's Slide trail. Restaurants are a short walk. We warmly welcome you to share the peace and tranquility of our little piece of paradise in beautiful Idyllwild, one mile closer to heaven, where Life is Good! Your dog is welcome upon my approval! Service dogs always welcome! Maps of the village and hiking trails are provided in the bunkhouse for your pleasure. Also lists of our many restaurants, all unique and delicious! Some are close enough to walk to and others are a short one mile drive. Dogs are allowed by individual permission only!
