A derelict purchase in 1979, we have lovingly restored our traditional 1907 home. Attention to detail and craftsmanship make our home unique, and we are excited to share it with guests from all over the world. Two private rooms and a bath on the upper story are yours to enjoy! We live in the downstairs part of the house. The space The space consists of a master bedroom with 2 walk in closets, (one of which has been made into a kitchenette), a second smaller bedroom or sitting room, depending on number of guests, and a bathroom in a restored 1907 house. The bathroom is off the hall and reserved for guest use. We have provided robes and slippers for your comfort and convenience. The larger of the walk in closets contains a small partial kitchen for guest use, as the main house kitchen is unavailable for guests. It includes a small refrigerator with freezer, microwave, and electric tea kettle. We have provided dishes and basic utensils for guest use. There is also a small iron and ironing board located there. The second walk in can be used for guest clothing. It also contains some games, toys and books for your enjoyment. Guests with children will delight in our unique hidden cubby hole, with a chair that converts into a ladder for access. There is a large sink with a bar faucet in the bathroom that can double as a place for washing dishes. Dish soap is in the cabinet below, along with a small dish drain and absorbable mat. You will also find a hair dryer, extra towels, cleaning supplies, and bath supplies. A coffee pot, mugs, coffee, tea and sweeteners are on the bathroom counter. For single groups larger than 2, the additional room can be made into a second bedroom by folding out the full size sofa sleeper with memory foam topper. NOTE that it can feel a bit cramped with four adults, as the beds are both full size, not queen or king and the bathroom is shared. It doesn’t leave a lot of room for lounging with both beds made out, so you decide! There is one set of stairs involved, since this is the upper level of the house, and you will enter on the main floor, which is at street level. Also to note, the house is on a hill, about midway up. Guest access Guests will have access to the original Master bedroom through the front door. This is on the middle/main level of the home, which is at street level, so there is one flight of stairs to the upper level. The upstairs can be locked off from the rest of the house and contains the original master bedroom, bathroom, second room with sofa sleeper, and office. My office will be locked and unavailable for guest use. For groups larger than 2, the extra room can be made into a second guest room with special arrangement. Guests do not have access to the main part of the house ,including the kitchen unless invited, but are free to use the yard. We sleep in the downstairs bedroom, so when guests are here, the upstairs is all theirs. Other things to note This is a pet free, smoke free property. (Read more) We try to keep it as free of chemical scents as possible, as Judy is sensitive to them. We provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap bars, and bath salts. If you bring your own…natural products, essential oils and naturally occurring fragrances found in nature are OK. NOTE - If you are also sensitive to chemical scents, we make no guarantees as to your safety, as we all have different levels of sensitivities and scents or products that we may react to. We heat with electricity. An old fashioned dial phone is available in the master bedroom for local calls, and to call us if needed…or just for fun and novelty! Registration Details STR-OPLI-19-001317
