A gem of a getaway! Family friendly cottage, nestled in a quiet street in Greenport village. The private property has fully fenced backyard, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a wood burning fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor seating, and gas grill. The property is in a double lot with a pool and a pool-house on the second lot. The pool house is not ready for rental and will not be accessible to guests however the heated pool is available for your use! The bedroom descriptions are as follows: Master bedroom is downstairs with a king bed and an ensuite. In addition to a fully stocked kitchen, dining and laundry area, the downstairs also has a living room with another bathroom, TV, two sofas and access to a serene, private patio. The dining area has a wood burning stove for winter nights that warms up the dining space. There are three bedrooms upstairs with two queen beds in two rooms and a set of bunk bed (a queen and a full bed) in the third bedroom. One of the queen bedrooms have an ensuite. The other two rooms share one large full bathroom. There are two sets of stairs from downstairs to access the bedrooms upstairs. The patio in our backyard has a bbq and dining area. Plenty of greenery in our backyard provides for room for kids to play while dinner is prepared and enjoyed outdoors. The pool is located on the far corner of the property and has a large patio and lounges. The pool house is not yet ready and will not be available to guests. The house is situated in a double lot property. The main house is in one lot and the second lot contains the swimming pool and a new pool house and garage. Guests have access to both lots except for the pool house and the garage. Host is always accessible via phone. Prior to arrival host sends detailed messages. During your stay if there is a need our caretaker can come by to address anything you need. Greenport is a historic seaport located on Long Island's North Fork. It is well known for its fine restaurants, shopping, and accommodations. It is close to famous wineries in and around North Fork, a ferry ride away from Shelter Island and two ferry rides away (approx 30 minutes) from the Hamptons. http://www.greenportvillage.com/ The Village, and beaches are both short walks away. Closest winery is about 8 minutes drive. If you want to explore more of North Fork, you will need a car or bikes. You can also take the ferry (end of the street - 8 min walk) to Shelter Island. We provide all linens and towels. We do not have any beach chairs and do not suggest that our towels are taken to the beach. Please bring your own beach towels, if desired. If cleaning the towels at the house, please shake sands off them outside the house so laundry machine is not damaged due to the sand.
