No 15 Weybourne Forest Lodges

Nestling in the 100-acre privately owned Weybourne Forest, a Scandinavian-style lodge ideal for nature lovers, birdwatchers, walkers, star-gazers, energetic children and dogs. Beautiful walks and close to the Poppy Line steam train from where you can travel between the historic Georgian town of Holt to coastal Sheringham. Sleeps up to 6 people plus cot. To one side is a ramp for access avoiding the front steps. Private parking 3 vehicles. Welcome two small well behaved clean dogs. The space No. 15 is one of two 'squirrel' type lodges in the largest size. Inside is an open living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge/diner with doors opening to the front onto the enclosed veranda for alfresco dining. Also, on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite and a family bathroom. At the back is an open veranda with a bistro set to enjoy the evening sun. Upstairs are two twin bedrooms with views to the front and back of the lodge. There is a large landing ideal for luggage and/or a travel cot. A child gate is positioned at the top of the stairs. A high chair and travel cot are also available. Bed linen is provided (not cot bedding) for all beds and so are towels and t-towels. Additional bed linen or towels will incur an additional cost. There is free wi-fi and a DVD player. There is a small variety of board games to play and books to read. The lodge has no gas supply, all appliances are electric. All our electricity is sourced from renewable resources. The kitchen has a ceramic hob, double oven including fan oven and grill, dishwasher, a Nespresso machine (pods not provided), cafetiere, kettle, toaster, microwave and a fridge with freezer compartment. Welcome pack is provided to start you off with cuppa on your arrival. Also included are starter loo rolls and guest soap per bathroom, dishcloth/scourer, washing up liquid and condiments. There is an on-site laundry available for guests' use. You will need to purchase token from reception. The lodge is decorated for the Christmas holidays. Guest access Close to the lodge are horses. There are various bird feeders attracting a variety of birds and the local grey squirrels! The forest has many beautiful walks some of which lead to Weybourne Station on the Poppy Line and Sheringham Park. Other things to note Local attractions include Weybourne beach, National Trust properties Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, there is also Holkham Hall and its spectacular beach, seaside towns Sheringham and Cromer which has the Amazona Zoo. Nearby is the Georgian town of Holt and Sandringham is a worthwhile day trip. Sheringham Park is adjacent to Weybourne Forest and can be reached on foot or by road. The coastal road leads to Wells-next-the-Sea with plenty of interest en route, e.g. Cley Marshes Visitor Centre. Other nature reserves are close by including Pensthorpe near Fakenham.
