The Beehive

Situated in the private courtyard of Croxdale Hall, less than four miles south of the City of Durham, the self-contained Beehive provides a peaceful bolt hole. The space The inviting open plan room has a double brass bed at one end, a 'kitchen' the other and an en-suite bathroom with a SMALL (five foot) bath off it. Please note that there is NO shower.The south-facing window looks out over the Beehive lawn and the park beyond. ​ The 'kitchen' has a microwave in the porch area but no other cooking facilities or cooking equipment/utensils. It does have a fridge, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, cereal and milk will be provided. The estate is well served by lots of footpaths for those wanting to walk. Please be aware there is no access to the private garden you look out onto or any outdoor seating. Parking is available within the courtyard but if you were travelling by train, we are a ten minute taxi ride from Durham railway station. Other things to note For any new bookings received from 1st May 2025 I am afraid we are no longer providing orange juice, yoghurts, bread, butter or fruit. We will, however, provide tea, coffee, milk and cereal.
