Delightful villa in a complex of three houses with independent entrances, two of which share the parking area which leads to the common courtyard via a stone staircase. The space The complex stands in a dominant position, always ventilated, 350 m from the sea and about 40 m high. Guests will have exclusive use of the terrace in front of the house overlooking the sea and a reserved space at the back, with barbeque, for cooking and dining outdoors. From the bedroom windows and the terrace the view sweeps over the partly sandy and partly rocky coast below. The beach is ideal for children as the seabed degrades very slowly. The sea can be reached either on foot (5 minutes to go down and 10 to go up) or arriving a few meters from the shore by car, going down a ladder of 4 steps and walking a short distance between the rocks. At about 1 km there are bathing establishments, an equipped beach and kiosks where you can have a snack or dinner. Below the house, free beach of fine golden sand, crystal clear water and very low density of bathers: a few dozen over 250 m. Guest access Access to the house is through a natural stone staircase that, from the parking lot below, leads to the courtyard, shared with the other house. Other things to note The house is located about 7 km west of the historic center of Sciacca in an area with low population density at the point where the large beach of Capo San Marco, 1.5 km long, gives way to a stretch of rocky coast of about 2 km interrupted by delightful coves, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. In the surrounding area in the summer there are several pizzerias, trattorias and restaurants. A large supermarket, stocked with everything (groceries, butchers, fruit and vegetables) is located on the western outskirts of the city (Perriera locality) and can be reached in 10 minutes by car, without entering the city. Sciacca is a delightful town with over a thousand years of history, not to mention the oldest vestiges that even date back to the Phoenician colonization. From the time of the Normans (11th century) to the 19th century there are many traces left in the historic center by the different dominations that have alternated on the island which was, for over 3 centuries, an independent kingdom until the beginning of the Spanish domination. when, for another 3 centuries, the King was replaced by a Viceroy. Unfortunately, during the summer, the population density increases significantly, traffic becomes intense and parking is not easy in the historic center. We therefore recommend that you avoid driving in the center, especially during the day, use supermarkets and fishmongers outside the center and park in the large area adjacent to the port to take pleasant walks immersed in history. Sciacca is also full of art shops, painters and potters, and walking around the historic center you can visit several of them. We will give you some advice if you ask us.
