The “Classic Coral Room” is one of three rooms available at “Vineyard Vista Country Getaway”. Part of the Skyline Drive on the Blue Ridge Mountain is visible from the north-facing window in this room. From the west-facing window Glen Manor winery, Buck Mountain and a wind-blown silo are part of the landscape. Classic Coral Room is a spacious room with blackout and translucent shades. One closet is for clothing and the other has the TV with remote control. Two drawers are available for guests who want them. The queen-size Craftsman bed has one remote control. The bed can be positioned for lounging, raising feet, or head or both. For tired muscles, a gentle 30 minute massage, may be of help. The "Coral" bedroom is one of two bedrooms up seven stairs from a living room in a house that is the home of the host. When both rooms are rented, guests will need to share the bathroom. Guests are welcome to make use of the kitchen if they agree to clean up after themselves. Kitchen utensils, pots, skillets, microwave, gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, dish clothes and towels, coffee and tea maker are available. There is a den with a fireplace and sofas for guests who need to stretch out, or just read. The back porch has chairs and a table to just sit and watch the mountain and wildlife. Interaction with Guests: Host is on hand to greet guests who arrive before 7 PM. For guests who need to arrive late, a note with directions can be posted on front door. Always available by phone or a knock on my door. Accommodations : A typed booklet containing WIFI network and password, a list of restaurants, information regarding how to turn on shower, find coffee, etc. are placed in the room for guests who may need to arrive late. Most of the time the host will be on hand to greet, answer questions or offer suggestions. A call to my mobile number will will made available. Vineyard Vista Country Getaway is remote and rural, yet close enough to allow easy and fast access to local attractions such as Shenandoah National Park, Luray and Skyline Caverns, scenic driving on the Skyline Drive, canoeing, hiking, civil war museums and the Shenandoah Valley Museum, or just relaxing and enjoying nature in the country. VVCG is about fifteen miles from Christendom College in Front Royal. Parking is not a problem. There are no ghosts here, but you might wonder about that if you hear them walking on the roof. To roost they launch from the roof to perch in trees. If something disturbs them you will hear them warn each other. Peafowls are just as fascinated to watch people as people are fascinated to watch peafowls. No!! They do not bite. They are tame and you may get close, but you will not be able to touch them as they are very fast. Please watch your step as you approach the house. The peafowls think they own the lawn and porches and cannot be "potty trained".
