A cozy and atmospheric family country house designed and built by the owners with dedication and love, with additional help from their children and friends. Arnarstapi, is a small fishing village with a beautiful dock where local fishermen keep their boats. The house is situated only a short walk from the scenic cliff side near a beautiful national park with the majestic glacier Snæfellsjökull. The space The house was designed and built by the owner Einar. He is a master builder and has renovated many of the oldest houses in Reykjavik center. The house has been built with traditional methods and handcrafted details, which makes it look old style and gives a feeling like it has been there for a long time in spite of being new. Guest access Guests have full access to both the first and second floor. Other things to note The Snæfellsnes penninsula is home to many migrant birds and the house is situated close to Arctic Turn breeding grounds. It is possible to see a variety of other birds in the area, e.g. Eurasian oystercatcher, Common snipe, Black-tailed godwit and more.
