A unique and historic family home in an old converted school building just minutes from the charming waterfront of Garitsa Bay with outstanding views across the water toward the Old Town. This is the perfect spot for a large family or group looking for privacy, comfort and authentic charm whilst being only a short walk from the sea and the cosmopolitan attractions of Corfu Town. The space This unique home has been in the family for generations and has been lovingly restored over the years to retain its original character but add all the comforts of a traditional family home. There are six bedrooms and five bathrooms split across the two levels of the house, the upstairs floor featuring a mezzanine. Smell the jasmine and watch the stars come out from the walled terrace with coal grill and table for al fresco dining! The main hallway leads into a splendid open plan living and dining space which opens upwards to the beamed ceiling. The room features antiques and furniture in a classic style. There is a fireplace, a large wooden dining table to seat eight, two large sofas and two leather armchairs for evening relaxation. The ground floor houses a double ensuite master bedroom and two small bedrooms with private bathroom. Adjoining the living/dining room is a large country-style kitchen which leads out onto the walled terrace outside. The kitchen contains a central island, large fridge and freezer, a second dining table seating six, and a sofa. Perfect for preparing large meals and leisurely cooking whilst conversing! There's a dishwasher so you don't have to worry about the washing up afterwards and a wood-burning stove for the winter. You will also find a microwave, oven, four hobs, and all the pots and utensils needed to cook up a storm. The hallway stairs lead up to the mezzanine level which boasts a sauna - perfect for soothing aching limbs after a day's exertion on the water or at the shops! - shower/wet room space and utilities area. There's a further bedroom containing a double and a single bed, a small balcony terrace, and an open plan lounge leading to the mezzanine which overlooks the ground floor on two sides. If you come by car there is a parking space right in front of the house to easily unload your luggage, and further spaces can be found along the road.
