Quiet room in beautiful old character home steps from the Drive - Commercial Drive is the eclectic hub of the East Van neighbourhood. With a tranquil secret garden in the backyard., the house is colourful with airy communal space and lots of windows for natural light. Books, art and plants contribute to the warm aesthetic. Please note: access to the loft style bedroom by steep staircase; the loft centre is 80" high but ceiling slopes. I try to keep 2 cats out of guest area. The space This is an old house that has been adapted to different families during its life-time but it is light filled and warm. The loft bedroom ais quaint but surprisingly roomy; the stairs are quite steep but there are handrails. The bathroom has been recently renovated - my son is an excellent cabinet maker! I think the spring and summer front and back gardens are particularly pretty, with big hanging planters on the porches - and garden area and porch are open to share with guests.
