Description
The house is 160 years old and is located in the middle of the small village of Jeckenbach. Wild garden, large sun terrace, lots of old furniture. Celebrating is allowed. Important: From 10 pm only in the house - because of the noise pollution of the neighbors. Up to 25 guests can stay: four bedrooms (16 guests), in the attic (mattress camp: 8-9 guests). Guests bring bed linens and towels. Important: For the low price there is no 5* quality. The occasionally criticized cleanliness has been significantly improved. The space IMPORTANT: As long as the coronavirus regulations apply, a complete list of participants (first name, last name, address, telephone, email) must be created and sent to me before arrival. The list will be handed over to the health department upon request. After four weeks, the list will be deleted in accordance with data protection regulations. NEW: The gym is a 24 sqm tent in the garden with foosball, ergometer, table with 8 chairs - surrounded by greenery. Note: take off your shoes ;-) Description of the house: Old house in the middle of Jeckenbach, very special, with a stream in front of the door, large terrace for cozy celebrations, barbecues (3 grills are available, guests bring charcoal) and sunbathing. Culture is available in the surrounding towns. In Jeckenbach itself, the village's own "Ohne Worte Theater" [Theater Without Words] performs. But only in the spring and mostly sold out. There are very nice neighbors and an original village atmosphere. Please pay urgent attention to quiet hours at night (from 10 pm) so that the neighbors can sleep. Up to 25 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms and the attic studio (2+5+6+4+8. Special discount on request up to 50% for 1-3 people and from 5 days. Please ask for the discount, I will then make an offer. The house is great for a shorter or longer break in a quiet village environment. Important: A steep staircase leads to the upper floor (safe with handrail) and a very steep staircase to the attic (also safe with handrail). However, both are unsuitable for people with mobility issues. A fully equipped kitchen, lounge and terrace are available to guests. The house is handed over and taken back swept clean. ATTENTION: It is not sparkling clean or clinically clean, sometimes it is a bit dusty, maybe even isolated cobwebs, especially after a long vacancy and in the heating season because of the fireplace. That's why the house is not suitable for cleanliness fanatics, you can also read that in the reviews. It is still very nice, quaint and just a nice place to relax, hang out and party. The remark that the furniture comes from bulky waste is not applicable. It is probably true that the garden and house could be a bit tidier - but that has so far only bothered a few guests. You can come alone and enjoy the peace, but also in small groups. Regardless of the number of guests, all rooms and the attic can be used. Important: Bed linen or sleeping bags and towels must be brought by the guests. Blankets and pillows are available for up to 25 people. Chairs, tables and benches for the terrace are provided. Barbecues too. Charcoal and firewood for the fireplace should be brought along - important in winter for the stove heating of the common room. And in summer for the fire pit on the terrace. When I am present upon guests' arrival, I will give a brief introduction to the house. If I can't be there, I'll do the tour by phone. The house is handed over and taken back without contact (the house key is in the door at the agreed arrival time). Jeckenbach is an idyllic village. A short portrait is offered by the film of the regional show from the series Hierzuland Jeckenbach in the ARD Mediathek - please google with the keywords as before. The house can be seen in the film at minute 6:17 to the left of the large red barn roof - with the four skylights. You can reach Jeckenbach three times a day by bus from both Kirn and Meisenheim. Kirn can be reached by train from Frankfurt, Mainz and Saarbrücken, Meisenheim by the same train and from the stations Staudernheim and Sobernheim by the regional bus. You can also get there by bicycle or car, which you can park on the property (there is space for 2-3 cars, more can park on the street. Note: observe the traffic regulations...) Guest access Guests are allowed to use all spaces of the house except the workshop on the ground floor and the barn. The attic (there are two of the three bathrooms) may be used if necessary. The terrace and garden are available, but no shrubs, trees or flowers may be damaged (I am writing this because it has already happened ;-). Fruit harvest (cherries, currants, grapes) is allowed by arrangement. It is not permitted to move the furniture in the rented bedrooms or the kitchen without prior arrangement. In the lounge, of course, you can move tables and chairs to make it fit and on the terrace and in the attic anyway. Up to 50 people can be accommodated on the terrace for celebrations. Barbecues, garden furniture and beer tent sets are provided. After 10 pm, the terrace may only be used by a maximum of 6 people at the same time and in peace. Guests who only come to a party and do not stay overnight pay the price for one night. They will be included in the participant lists - insofar as prescribed in the coronavirus regulation. Other things to note Please remember to bring linens, kitchen towels and personal towels. In an emergency and by arrangement, they can also be borrowed. This costs 15 euros per person per week.
