Self contained bijou annexe in heart of Lyndhurst

Self contained cosy bijou annexe attached to our home with its own private entrance & front door with free street parking situated in a quiet country road in the heart of Lyndhurst Fabulous location to explore the New Forest on foot with numerous walks & cycle paths also has Boltons Bench which is a focal point & gateway to The New Forest where you can see horses & other animals roaming freely. Our annexe is an ideal base is tucked away yet only a 5 minute walk into Lyndhurst village. The space Our unique private & cosy annexe is an ideal base for exploring the The New Forest. With its own front door & private access. Wether a lone traveller or couples staying for one night or a long weekend our annexe living space is SMALL but has everything you need to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable as possible. We have a little outside private space which gets the sun in the morning’s with table and chairs. It is an ideal safe space for leaving bikes we also have two small wall anchor points for extra security, we do leave bike locks but you may want to bring your own for added security. Please be aware it is snug but adequate. Recent guests have informed us that it is a good idea to reverse bikes in as there is not enough room to manoeuvre bikes once inside the entrance, making it easier to exit! We have a clothes rail with hangers on the wall which is perfect for a one or two night stay. If staying longer we have a free standing rail with storage. I will check with you if you are staying longer than 2 days at booking wether you feel you would need it. The reason being this gives you more space, if you change your mind, no problem i can leave it for you! We do have cooking facilities ideal for breakfast & light meals, supplied is an induction hob, Ariete Mini Electric oven, great for Pizza , garlic bread, George Forman grill, pots & pans, microwave, fridge with small freezer, toaster kettle cafetière & washing machine. There is a folding space saving indoor table and two small folding stools, this gives you the option to eat meals inside! In the shed outside the annexe you will find two additional folding chairs with backs for more comfort if needed. On the wall there is a 24 inch smart tv with Netflix/Amazon Prime which swivels. Also a DAB Roberts radio. Although ‘Bit On The Side’ may be SMALL it still has everything you need and a little character of its own. As the old irish proverb says , A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for everything! Our bed is a standard double size 4ft 6 - 6ft 3. So even if you’re only staying for one night we really hope you go home rested, lighter and happier after staying in our cosy annexe! In a an effort to be completely transparent we state the living space is SMALL , so we would appreciate you take this into account before booking and reviewing. Thank you :) Guest access All of the annexe and outside private space you can come and go as you please. A shingled path alongside our drive which leads into the annexe entrance through a gate. Other things to note We will give out key code and checking in details once we make contact after booking. Our annexe is not suitable for Infants or young children, and is for ADULTS only, NO pets allowed. There is NO PARKING on the premises, or across the drive, but there is free parking on our road and adjacent roads. Lyndhurst main car park is only a 5 minute walk from our annexe if needed. There is limited space in the annexe so you might find it easier bringing a small overnight case/bag when staying at ‘Bit OnThe Side’ it is small but perfectly formed! We have an eco friendly toilet with sink incorporated, this tap only provides cold water, as space is limited there is no stand alone sink in the bathroom. The tap in the kitchen has hot & cold water, hot tap needs to run 30 seconds as the supply comes from the boiler in our house, so is NOT-instantly hot when turning on! We provide a complementary breakfast a choice of cereal’s, orange juice, semi skimmed milk/ soya milk, tea’s & coffees If you are VEGAN or have other dietary needs please let me know and i will try to accommodate. The outside space is in close proximity to our neighbours so please be respectful of noise levels, thank you. If you need to turn on/off the shower, extractor fan or electric towel rail these switches are in a small grey cupboard in the kitchen area. We do leave a information sheet with all the information you would need. Our aim is for you to have the best experience staying with us, so please get in touch if any issues arise or you need any additional information. We are Covid-19 conscious and In- line with Covid recommendations. Our Cats are not allowed IN the annexe so it is a pet free area!
