Your location is private and peaceful but within minutes of the town centre by car,or easy walking distance. You have the whole house,pool and gardens to yourself, exclusively yours, no sharing. The house has wheelchair access to the ground floor, with a bathroom and a sofa bed, and access to the pool area. The lounge and kitchen are open plan,with double french doors leading to the outdoor terrace. Your ground floorathroom has a walk in shower,bath,toilet and sink. On the first floor you have a king size double bedroom with lots of wardrobe space.The twin single bedroom also has wardrobe space,and an additional annex with a spare bed and extra storage. We clean Casa Lerryn to a high standard before every guest arrives. Fresh,clean linen and towels are provided,the beds are made up for your arrival. Access to all amenities is easy and quick. Parking is free and onsite. Your pool is safe and private,with steps leading to the shallow end. The deepest is 135cm Mark cleans your pool daily,he keeps it wonderfully crystal clear and clean throughout the year. The pool is available for use from January to December. Its situated in a sunny,open position which means the water is warm all summer long. For your lunches and dinners there is BBQ with sink/running water, and large dining table in a rustic style. Simply step outside to your BBQ shaded terrace for alfresco cooking.Eating with friends and family has never been easier,as everything is on hand,even the supermarket is a 2 minute drive away. The pool and surrounding patio has sun loungers,beach towels and parasols. Casa Lerryn is surrounded by wild birds, including eagles, jays, woodpeckers, tits siskins, wagtails and finches. Butterflies and dragonflies adorn the meadow throughout the seasons. Relax by the pool, enjoy local restaurants and soak up the friendly, local culture ,unique to this unpretentious region. There is a large supermarket just a 2 minute drive or walking distance from Casa Lerryn.Serta has bars, restaurants and cafés, with delicious Pastel de Natas!, some are just 10 minutes walking distance from the house. You have use of our garage for your car. Your meadow is flat,ideal to kick a ball around or play boules/badminton. 2 minute drive to the main link road,IC8. The roads are quiet and lead to major towns such as Coimbra and Tomar We live nearby and meet & greet guests. If required, we can reserve a restaurant, or book excursions. Sertá is a bustling market town. It has plenty of shops,supermarkets , restaurants, cafes and bars. Serta has some of the best restaurants in the region, they all proudly serve locally sourced ingredients in their regional and international dishes. You can people watch whilst sitting at the river bar ,discover local wines and stroll around our historic town. Our local chemist is walking distance with English speaking staff. Supermarkets include Intermarche, Pingo Doce and Mini Preco Serta is a tourist town and has a tourist centre open daily throughout the week. We have guided mapped tours for walking and driving,and would be happy to arrange activities. We can signpost prospective property buyers as we have good knowledge of buying and setting up a home. There are three restaurants that have recommendations on Trip Advisor,they cater to international clients and have varied menus. Ponte Velha has elavated views over the town. The Marcal family have created many dishes which have become famous across Portugal,including the fish soup and Maranho. Both their restaurants have smart interiors and good service Maranho & Bucho are local dishes that are made with chicken, pork, lamb, local herbs, mint and citrus fruits. We also recommend O Palheiro, a patio bar right beside the river. Throughout spring & summer this is a perfect spot to enjoy the river location. Relaxing,chilled,the "in place "in town, OPs offers great value for all. Wine & beer is cheap, the local cheeses are a great snack,served with local chorizo & ham. Prawns in garlic,or fried prawns are filling. Ask for sardines,they are usually available and delicious. If you are a fan of Indian dishes our local Indian cuisine cook, Nicloa, offers tasty and authentic takeaways. We can arrange a wine tasting tour just 1/2 an hour from Casa Lerryn, the adega is set in a tranquil valley and the owners informative tour is inspiring. Boat trips can also be arranged from the nearby picturesque village of Dornes, where the boat meanders along the river Zezere. Sertá has a cycling club and biking activities, fishing and hiking tours, all of which we can endeavor to signpost/book on your behalf. From springtime onwards, Sertá and the surrounding villages host many festas and themed events which are well organised and great fun. They include the annual artisan beer festival,Provart, showcasing local beers and food, and the Maranho Food Festival, celebrating our individual local speciality dishes. Both these major festivals include live music(rock, pop and traditional) and other local arts and crafts. Guest access The whole house,pool area,meadow and driveway.
