Van Huis Tot Thuis (behind the Schaatsfabriek)

‘Van Huis tot Thuis’ is located behind the ‘Oude Schaatsfabriek’ in the picturesque village of Wergea. Also known as “Our Village”. The authentic skating factory is located along the water and is also the parent house of the very first Elfstedentocht winner ‘Minne Hoekstra’. In the garden is one of the remaining workers' houses of the factory, called ‘From Home to Home’. A wonderfully hidden place! Discover Friesland from the water and rent the boat! The space It is a complete cottage with private entrance. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen with dining table, living room with French doors to the terrace, the bathroom with rain shower and separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, kettle and beans coffee machine. On the first floor you will find the bedrooms with extra long beds! In the first room 2 single box springs of 90/210 cm and in the other bedroom a double box spring 180/210 cm. The house has its own terrace which we as residents only have access to if we walk back to our own garden. Furthermore, it is closed with a fence. Guest access The old skating factory is located on the open water. We have a Whaly with outboard motor that can be rented for only €45 euros per day. Excluding fuel. Other things to note Wergea is a super nice village with many facilities. Grand cafe Jan and Oan Table are 2 beautiful restaurants. For a culinary evening you will have to go to ‘Oan Table’ . Remember to make a reservation in time. Also there is a warm bakery in the village then don't forget the notorious "sugar bread" of Teije de Boer! If you want to do something easy, go to the snack wagon or pizzeria and for everything else you can go to the supermarket de Spar. Not to mention, there has recently been a charging station in Wergea next to the supermarket. 250 meters from the property.
