Goose Croft, tucked away in Edale

The setting of this cosy small detached cottage is beautiful and you feel quite secluded, yet the village of Edale is 1 minute walk away. From here you can enjoy the countryside by walking or biking, short or longer routes. There is a folder in the cottage with a selection of maps, which you are welcome to use and choose a route straight from the door. There are two pubs, two cafes and a general store in the village. The space From the living room or out on the patio you can enjoy watching the many birds that come and visit the bird feeders and gritstone bird bath. Regular visitors are Chaffinch, Gold Finch, Blue tit, Great tit, Coal tit, Nut Hatch and Great Spotted Woodpecker. The quality 'Clearview' wood burner is an added bonus for those cosy evenings. It will be laid ready for you on arrival and there are clear pictorial instructions on how to use it correctly. The first basket of logs is complimentary and after that there are nets of logs, kindling, firelighters and newspaper that are available to purchase at cost, we use an 'honesty box' for this. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an induction hob, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The bathroom is on the ground floor, due to the layout of the cottage. The lounge has a settee and a Lloyd Loom chair. There is wifi and depending on your network you may or may not get a mobile signal. Narrow stairs lead up to the bedroom, which has a kingsize bed. Goose Croft has its own private parking space for one car, which is solely for guests of the cottage and also has a safe bicycle storage shed, for you to lock your bikes in, should you wish to bring them along to explore the area on two wheels. Guests have use of the patio, which has a table and chairs and a bench. The patio looks over Goose Croft orchard. Goose Croft is a 50min drive from Manchester airport. You can use the train to get to Edale from the airport via Manchester Piccadilly station. I do not charge a cleaning fee in addition to the nightly rate but request that guests leave the cottage neat and tidy and I will do the rest to ensure it is perfect for new visitors arriving. Guest access You will have access to the whole cottage, the patio area which looks over Goose Croft Orchard and one parking space. Other things to note We do not allow pets. A maximum of two guests are allowed to stay at Goose Croft. I'm sorry but the property is not suitable for babies or children. I operate a 'strict cancellation policy' with my Airbnb bookings. Therefore it is worth thinking about taking out holiday insurance, just in case there are any unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from coming to Goose Croft. Thank you
