Eva’s House is the ideal destination for families and groups of friends. This modern house is in the countryside among silver olive trees and green vineyards, that is typical of the Cretan landscape. It is a most tranquil and relaxing place where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. It is located just 1km away from the center of Episkopi village and 10 km from the closest sandy beach. N. Kazantzakis Airport is 10 min driving distance and the city of Heraklion 15 min away. The space In the village of Episkopi, within a walking distance, there are all kinds of local amenities to facilitate your everyday routine. Among other things, there is a mini-market, a bakery, a post office, a doctor’s office and a bank. In July, the Aegean Arts International Festival (http://aegeanartsfestival.wixsite.com/aafa) is organized in the Panagiotakis’ Garden Theatre, in the village, with exhibitions, kids’ painting, traditional music, films etc. In that same garden a lot of concerts with Greek and foreign singers take place during summer, along with shadow puppet theatre for children and other artistic, fun activities for families. You can also explore the greater area and visit the churches nearby or further away, some of which are worth seeing, like the old monastery of Agarathos. Not far away from there you will also have the chance to experience a bit of adventure if you head for the beautiful gorge Karteros or the fairy Neraidospilo in Sgourokefali. information. Last but not least, our visitors are most welcome to visit the garden together with its owner, Eva, and try our organic tomatoes, paprika, zucchini, cucumbers and other seasonal vegetables that we grow there and taste a traditional mouthwatering Greek salad with only the freshest produce.
