The Hideaway : country seclusion

The Hideaway is a treat for the soul... how often does one get to watch duiker leaping through the grasslands ? This old farm cottage remains true to its farm beginnings, intact with rustic features such as exposed beams, rough brickwork, stained cement floors and a cosy fireplace. The braai area overlooks the beautiful sunset views. Enjoy the seclusion and privacy on the edge of a protected grassland area. The space Positioned behind our charming brick shed in the shade of the trees, you will love the wide open views of the indigenous mistbelt grasslands as well as our enormous garden spaces which have featured in the Midlands Open Gardens . The Cottage is a happy simple space which remains true to its farm beginnings with exposed beams and cement floors. It’s private and comfortable. Guest access Our guests are welcome to explore our 3.5 ha garden with its pool, veggie garden and forest spaces. Please use the FLUSS App for access off Fyvie Rd. Other things to note There is a small chicken farm beyond the grasslands and you will likely hear the sudden excitement at feeding time. Also, when the wind blows in a certain direction, you may hear the sound of distant traffic.
