Only 30 minutes from Stockholm city center and 50 meter to the sea, this renovated bungalow on a small car free island is the perfect getaway in the archipelago. Best for 1-2 persons. If you have a small kid it might also work. Guest access Spring arrives in April, bringing longer days and the return of light to Storholmen. Enjoy sunny moments outdoors combined with cozy evenings by the fireplace. Swedish summer begins in June, when the water warms up and daylight stretches late into the night. Relax, swim, read, take long walks, or go on canoe excursions. Autumn is perfect for combining visits to Stockholm with peaceful forest walks and cozy evenings indoors. Winter usually begins in November or December. The island remains accessible as the ferry runs all year, even when the water freezes. Snow-covered landscapes make for a magical stay—combine island life with Christmas shopping and concerts in Stockholm. From January to March, we may have ice conditions. Other things to note There is a restaurant on the island, Storholmen Sjökrog, which is open on weekends during the low season and daily during the high season. Please note that there is no grocery store on the island. We recommend stocking up before arrival. Good options include: COOP at Stockholm Central Station (convenient if arriving by train) Fältöversten at Karlaplan (larger selection, along the red metro line) Lidingö Centrum (accessible by car or taxi, with several good shops)
